For a friend. Beautiful baby boy born yesterday, and stuck between these two names. I personally prefer FreddieGrinwhat do you think? I think (should of checked) they are also considering Alfie.

Oscar. Freddie would suit a baby but it's a bit silly on an adult.

My ds ds is called Freddie.
His dog is called Oscar
Confused

bluebumblebeee · 10/10/2016 15:41

I have an Oscar with middle name Freddie. Think they're both brill names obviously!

bluebumblebeee · 10/10/2016 15:50

Freddie Flintoff. (I am aware this isn't his real name) but surely he most like this name to want to use it. I think he really suits it Grin

I also think Freddie Mercury suited it as well. Not sure if it was his real name haha

Oscar.

I think Freddie sounds awful on anyone who's not a toddler or a frog.

CakeRattleandRoll · 10/10/2016 15:56

Oscar

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 10/10/2016 16:03

I prefer Freddie.

bluebumblebeee · 10/10/2016 16:04

I am pregnant, and considering Dylan for a boy. ( haven't mentioned this to my friend as she might steal it ) Grin what are your thoughts on this? Might as well ask Wink

Freddie Flintoff confuses me. Sometimes he calls himself Andrew and sometimes he's Freddie! Make your mind up man Grin

I like Frederick lots of possibilities for NN not just Freddie and he's an Austen Hero so must be a proper professional grown up Grin

MitzyLeFrouf · 10/10/2016 16:12

Oh I do love Captain Wentworth

Chinlo · 10/10/2016 16:25

I'm not a fan of Freddie at all, I much prefer Oscar.

Dylan is better than both though. Great name.

MitzyLeFrouf · 10/10/2016 16:28

Yes I like Dylan too.

Sophronia · 10/10/2016 22:46

Alfred and then they could have Freddie and/or Alfie as nns.

monsterbookofty · 10/10/2016 22:57

My baby is Oscar Dylan Grin

katemess12 · 11/10/2016 01:35

Oscar.

Freddie is an awful name, even with the Freddie Mercury (whose name was Farrokh) association. Frederick nn Fred is nice, however.

I think I've just realised why Freddie shits me: HR Pufnstuf.

passingthrough1 · 11/10/2016 12:22

I don't like nicknames as real names. Freddie cute but it shouldn't be the full name. So Oscar.

WanderingTrolley1 · 11/10/2016 12:24

Freddie.

Valeriemalorie · 11/10/2016 12:30

Oscar
