Hello Mumsnetters,

Our little boy arrived yesterday morning.

What are your opinions on Hayden George? Smile

We think it's nice, but would like some opinions first!

If your baby is already here and you've already named him then go for it! Dont ask mumsnet now or someone will make you sad by saying they don't like it

gunsandbanjos · 08/10/2016 19:21

It's better than the grim Jayden/ Cayden trend that's unfortunately hanging around.

Wouldn't be top of my list but it's ok.

blankpieceofpaper · 08/10/2016 19:23

The spelling of Hadyn is a traditional Welsh baby name.

CancellyMcChequeface · 08/10/2016 19:46

It might be traditional, but I'm afraid it blends in with all the Jayden/Kayden/Brayden names for me. Sorry!

I do like George - and congratulations on your baby boy! :)

SansasEscape · 08/10/2016 20:00

I prefer it Haydn, as blank said.

Loyly · 08/10/2016 20:02

I don't like -ayden sounding names, sorry.

blondieblondie · 08/10/2016 20:03

I hate Jayden, Caden, Brayden, etc. but Hayden is ok. Maybe because I actually know one though.

Congratulations Smile

HeteronormativeHaybales · 08/10/2016 20:07

Haydn, if you're Welsh - fine.
Hayden - awful, and will date, badly.
Sorry.

HeteronormativeHaybales · 08/10/2016 20:08

Oh, and if that makes me a snotty idiot, guilty as charged.

TheWeeBabySeamus1 · 08/10/2016 20:10

It's my surname! Smile

I always say (unless it's something like Crapbag) if you love the name then use it.

WaitrosePigeon · 08/10/2016 20:11

Me too Het, snotty as fuck Grin

I like it.

I know a lovely Hayden. Smile

Congrats, OP! Hayden George is a great name.

Benedikte2 · 08/10/2016 22:41

Not my top favourite but ok. Has been around much longer than similar names with the exception of Aiden (which I personally prefer) and is a quiet solid name. Goes nicely with the George.
Hope you'll all be very happy.

0pti0na1 · 08/10/2016 23:44

I wouldn't spell it Haydn, because it will get pronounced as High-dnn like the composer.

mumgointhroughtorture · 09/10/2016 01:30

I like it .
Congratulations on your new arrival :)

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 09/10/2016 10:06

Congratulations OP 💐
I prefer George Hayden.

StCecilia · 09/10/2016 10:11

Congratulations OP Flowers

If you like it, use it - my DH's best mate is called Hayden and he's a top bloke. I also know a 10 year old and he's a complete nightmare. But I can also say this about lots of names.

He'll be your Hayden and that's all that matters.
