Middle name for Leocadia

I think, hope that we've decided upon Leocadia if this baby who is due for eviction in less than nine weeks is a girl.
Struggling for middle names.
Other DDs are Sylvie Jacinta and Delilah Elisabeth.
Any ideas?

Oh I do like Carmen

Leocadia Carmen Leeming.
Would you assume Spanish heritage though? We have none although we are both Catholic.

Both my girls have unusual first names so we went with something simple for middle names, Beth and Marie. How about Jane?

Agree a simple middle name would be good. Jane is a lovely name. Or Marie or Alice?

Without meaning to be rude to people. I think a very unusual name would need something unusual as a MN to match it. A name like Leocadia Mae/Grace/Belle, althougb they roll off the tongue with most first names just sounds daft to my ears.

nooka · 02/10/2016 05:13

I think the usual thinking behind having a more commonly used middle name when you have a very unusual first name is so that your child can choose the middle name instead if they don't enjoy standing out so much.

I have a very unusual name and like it very much, but it can be a burden. It's much easier to move to a middle name than to deed poll to a new name.

I think Carmen sounds good as a middle name, of course there is always Mary :)

Raines100 · 02/10/2016 07:23

I vote for Sylvie Jacinta

Caipira · 02/10/2016 07:30

I like Leocadia Carmen.

I would assume a Spanish heritage with Leocadia, regardless of the middle name. It's unusual (unless you're Spanish obviously) and it's a lovely name.

tralaaa · 02/10/2016 07:31

Aiyla

user1474781546 · 02/10/2016 07:38

Candida? Lochia?

Raines100 · 02/10/2016 07:40

Oh, you already have Sylvie Jacinta. I thought that was the another option.

Other people seem to like Leocadia, but I'm afraid I think Leocadia Leeming is rather a mouthful. I'm all for unusual names, and alliteration can be cool- Leah Leeming?- but I don't personally think this works.

zen1 · 02/10/2016 07:43

Katherine?

WuTangFlan · 02/10/2016 08:00

If you consider Leocadie instead of Leocadia (French rather than Spanish version), then the middle name could end in an "a" sound...

Leocadie Aurelia
Leocadie Cordelia
Leocadie Fidelia
Etc...
