He will be nicknamed Endy (or everyone will think he said Ian); she will be nicknamed Ellie. Full name won't be used by anyone except you after the age of 12.

Sorry OP, it's a no from me.

SoupDragon · 01/10/2016 10:37

Isn't this the place name used by the Camerons for their youngest?

Mybeardeddragonjustdied2016 · 01/10/2016 10:37

Made me think of Dandelion sorry!!

UnicornPee · 01/10/2016 10:45

If you live in a castle then it's fine

EllenDegenerate · 01/10/2016 10:45

Oh sorry, should have said that it's a girls name.
Derived from an obscure Cornish Saint, the Goddaughter of King Arthur no less. It means fire soul.

I don't think the Cameron's have a child named Endellion?

OP posts:
Iliveinalighthousewiththeghost · 01/10/2016 10:47

Its one of the MNS of Dave and Sam Cams baby, Well she's not a baby now, is she. She must be about 6.
I'm not too keen. TBH. Very harsh

neonrainbow · 01/10/2016 10:50

I like it. It sounds old, like arthur and the round table kind of old. At least it's different.

FranklyMeDeer · 01/10/2016 10:50

Youngest Cameron has Endellion as a middle name, iirc she arrived unexpectedly early on a family holiday to Cornwall.

WHY I have remembered that I couldn't tell you

neonrainbow · 01/10/2016 10:50

Ha just saw your second post.

SoupDragon · 01/10/2016 10:52

WHY I have remembered that I couldn't tell you

Me neither.

Flora Endellion I believe.

SoupDragon · 01/10/2016 10:53

Flora Rose Endellion now I've googled.

MrsHulk · 01/10/2016 10:53

I like it. She will prob be nicknamed Endi or Delli but those are both sweet.

It's unusual but actually pretty easy to see how you pronounce it when you see it so I don't think it would cause many issues

Iliveinalighthousewiththeghost · 01/10/2016 10:54

I thought her first name was Florence

MyNewBearTotoro · 01/10/2016 10:59

Makes me think of Dandelion as well.

FranklyMeDeer · 01/10/2016 11:03

Soup I can't remember what I did yesterday but I'm awesome at trivial pursuit Grin

Flora Rose Endellion is lovely
Didn't the Blairs have a Leo for their in office baby? I like that name too.

OP I think it's a lovely name :)

EllenDegenerate · 01/10/2016 11:03

I don't think dandelions are a bad association; I'm slightly put off that the. Amerindians have made use of it already though.

OP posts:
SoupDragon · 01/10/2016 11:04

thought her first name was Florence

ThNk god I was wrong about something to do with theCamerons!

EllenDegenerate · 01/10/2016 11:04

The Cameron's not the Amerindians 😂

OP posts:
NuffSaidSam · 01/10/2016 13:04

I'm not keen on it. I think it's quite harsh sounding and Endi and Delli are both terrible nicknames. It just seems a bit 'try hard'.

MissElizaBennettsBaubles · 01/10/2016 13:11

I think it's a lovely name

But then Delli is one of my nicknames as my little bro couldn't pronounce my name when he was small

My name isn't Endellion btw...

0pti0na1 · 01/10/2016 15:13

I like it.

MrsHughesCarson · 01/10/2016 15:17

I like it ,but it does make me think of the Cameron's daughter, although they will hopefully have fallen into obscurity in a few years.

HoratioNightboy · 01/10/2016 15:21

How is it pronounced? I'm thinking End-ELL-ee-on but happy to be corrected!

rainbowstardrops · 01/10/2016 15:23

I quite like it really but my first thought was dandelion too.
That's a weed that supposedly makes you wet the bed isn't it?! Sorry Grin
Honestly, I like it

BendydickCuminsnatch · 01/10/2016 15:33

My first thought was the Camerons.

Endellion. ENDELLION. I quite like the sound.

Endellion.
