Luna, Seren, Florence, Edith, Hannah, Elizabeth - all names I love but where either vetoed or don't work with our surname.

manhowdy · 15/09/2016 20:24

Love this thread!

Am pregnant with a girl and both Maggie and Marnie are on my radar.

I also looooove the name Stevie for a girl but am worried she will be mercilessly teased 😣

MrPoppersPenguins · 15/09/2016 20:27

Manhowdy... We know a Stevie and she isn't teased about her name at all.

I love Monty but husband doesn't.

Fightyfish62 · 16/09/2016 12:07

Arlo - I love it but it's the name of my home security system

Toby and Scott - Just dont work with DP's surname.

roseteapot101 · 16/09/2016 14:08

Flynn

Oriunda · 17/09/2016 22:11

Paperdoll, I have a Cosmo - love the name. Work on your DP!

DS would have been Persephone if a girl, or Ophelia if DH had vetoed.

flissfloss65 · 23/09/2016 20:33

Horatio

Rarotonga · 23/09/2016 21:08

Indira. I love it. Our surname is a verb, so giving them the initial "I" would be unfair.

Cillian
Tadgh
Dorian

Persephone
Feodore/Feodora
Maud

Edmund Blush

Shropitlikeitshot · 23/09/2016 22:38

Peony. But our surname begins with S, so she'd be Peony S.

Penis.

peaceloveandbiscuits · 23/09/2016 22:45

Anything with a V in it had to be vetoed because of our surname Sad so no Eve, Ivy or Olive.

I love Cassius for a boy, but I just don't have the confidence to pull it off/instill in him to pull it off!

MsJuniper · 23/09/2016 22:47

Martha
Arthur
Cormac

Elbi · 25/09/2016 18:26

All the great names that have been nicked by brands....

Sierra - car
Astra - car
Avon - make up
Ariel - washing powder
Tena - joking... kinda

SovietKitsch · 25/09/2016 20:46

My DD's name has been mentioned a couple of times, and the name she'd have had, had she been a boy - Ambrose.

The name I'd love to use but DH would veto is Mungo!

BoboBunnyH0p · 25/09/2016 22:03

My DD middle name has been mentioned a couple of times.

If I had been brave enough Balthazar would have been my choice but DH would have vetoed it he also vetoed Ezekiel.
Seraphina was my choice when pregnant with dc2 but we had ds.

Tiddlesunderthepier · 25/09/2016 22:06

I like Minnie for a little girl, but don't think I could.
