Uncommon Name for No.3

Jodders · 10/09/2016 16:35

I have two boys and I am pregnant with my third child. I don't yet know the gender.
My main aims when choosing a name (and so far my children's names pass this) are:

  1. They aren't popular - I wouldn't want to have another child for instance in their class with the same name (we live in Ireland) so no Amelia's, Emily's, Oliver's, Lucas
  2. They aren't wacky made up names - I wouldn't go for Apple or River for instance
  3. They "go with" our surname which is an O' Name
  4. I like to think the names I have chosen for my sons would suit them if they decided to me prime minister or rock stars

Suggestions please GrinGrin

So far I like the Marnie suggestion.

I love Cerys but my DH won't agree to it.

I also love Caia, Caelia, Kion and Tadhg

Again hubby isn't 100% on any of these

Yes Ysanne! I know one and have never ever heard it before or ever seen it suggested other than upthread :-o

Una from the Saturdays has a Tadhg so might not be that unsual.

Love your suggestion of Caia!

Jodders · 10/09/2016 17:16

Adeline is nice. Will add to my list....

Keep the suggestions coming I'm sure there's a perfect name out there somewhere for us!!

How is Ysanne pronounced?

I do really love Caia!! She was a goddess of fire and women.

Tadhg wouldn't be that common here despite being in Ireland. I think it's not currently and "In" name

Yiz-anne. But I guess like Yvonne can be Yivonne/Eevonne it could be Ee-sanne.

Jodders · 10/09/2016 17:40

Ummmmmm I think I really like it!!

I wonder what hubby will think?!

I would pronounce E-San.

I think I gravitate towards names that written down are difficult to pronounce.

Nell for a girl

Dulta for a boy (du il ta)

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 10/09/2016 18:14

Yes Jodders, E-san, you are correct.
So glad you like it, I love it, but alas, no daughters !

itssquidstella · 10/09/2016 18:26
