Sons ds is Freddie
Sons dog is Oscar!!

astormgivenflesh · 06/09/2016 19:32

Both are nice BUT so so very popular and your son will definitely have the same name as others in his class, dooming him to being Oscar X or Freddie Y and maybe end up feeling a bit rubbish? I know three Freddie's in one class and two ozzies!

Nonameyet1 · 06/09/2016 20:08

Freddie

I don't like Freddie at all. So Oscar for me.

babbafishbabe · 07/09/2016 18:35

Ds7 is Oscar ... No others in his class!

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 07/09/2016 18:41

Freddie

WaitrosePigeon · 08/09/2016 14:55

Oscar.

Only Freddie if you are putting Frederick on the birth certificate.

elQuintoConyo · 08/09/2016 14:58

Oscar. Sounds like a grown up's name. Freddie sounds... not so grown up (don't want to be rude to any Freddies/parents of Freddies out there).

passingthrough1 · 09/09/2016 12:49

I love Freddie but only if Frederick.

CatLover69 · 09/09/2016 12:51

Oscar Pistorius? No thanks. Freddie every time

Changingagain · 09/09/2016 12:53

I really like Freddie. It would probably been DS's name but a colleague used it not long before.

JinkxMonsoon · 09/09/2016 12:54

Freddie is too cutesy. I prefer Oscar.

And I know you can shorten to Fred. I once knew a bloke at uni (and he was a bloke, tall and burly) called Bob. Later discovered his given name was Bobbie, which REALLY didn't suit him. Especially with the "ie" instead of a "y", which is more twee somehow.

KoalaDownUnder · 09/09/2016 15:42

Oscar.

Freddie reminds me of Kruger. Or a frog.

bakeoffcake · 09/09/2016 15:45

I really don't like Oscar. It just doesn't seem like a boys name to me and is really harsh sounding.

Love Freddie.

KarenLF · 09/09/2016 15:48

Freddie!! It's my new favourite and has replaced my previous fave of ages!!
