None. Edward, Thomas or Frederick, in that order.

Just to clarify, do you mean as a full name or would you put something else on the birth certificate OP?

I think if you want to use them as full names, of the three, I'd go with Tommy. Freddie and Teddy are nice nns but are quite 'of the moment' names I think, so maybe will date a bit. Tommy seems a bit less trendy maybe but in a good way iyswim.

WaffleD · 02/09/2016 12:47

For full names Smile

I prefer the Freddy spelling, just makes more sense to me!

Tommy seems to be winning

DS1 is Alfred nn Freddie, that might work?

SteviebunsBottrittrundle · 02/09/2016 13:11

Tommy is nice then. Also, just something to consider is that they might end up being shortened to Tom, Fred or Ted so if you like / dislike any of those that might help you decide on TommyGrin.

Spaghettidog · 02/09/2016 13:16

Honestly, they are all a bit 'cheeky chappy' for my taste.

LaurieLemons · 02/09/2016 13:20

I really like Tommy

Caipora · 02/09/2016 13:28

I prefer Freddy. But I don't like Fred or Ted. I prefer Tom. He will not stay a Tommy, Teddy or Freddy. He will inevitably become either Ted, Fred or Tom.

Nonameyet1 · 02/09/2016 14:48

Teddy is really popular!
I like Freddy the most.

Sophronia · 02/09/2016 18:53

Tommy

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 02/09/2016 19:37

Freddy.

sonlypuppyfat · 02/09/2016 19:44

I've a stuffed bear called teddy and a tabby cat called Tommy and I like Freddie frog chocolate, give him an adults name

roseteapot101 · 02/09/2016 19:47

i like Freddie its a nice nickname to Frederick. My mother put josephine on the birth certificate so it looked formal and called me phina day to day

Tommy also nice short for Thomas

Ipanema01 · 03/09/2016 07:30

Teddy or Freddie. Really dislike Tommy though love Tom if that's an option!

GoldFishFingerz · 03/09/2016 07:32

Teddy

ClockMakerSue · 03/09/2016 07:34

I don't like any of them but I do like Thomas or Tom.

So, Tommy as it can be shortened to the nicest name.

mollie123 · 03/09/2016 07:35

to me Tommy - has WW1 overtones
why not call the baby by one of the full names (Thomas, Frederick or Edward) and then you can shorten it how you like. Hmm

LottieDoubtie · 03/09/2016 07:36

Teddy but I would use Edward.

katemess12 · 03/09/2016 10:16

Tommy is the only one that works as a full name, IMO.

Hate Teddy as both a full name and a nickname. I have no idea why I dislike this name so much. I can only imagine the teasing a boy named Teddy would get.

I think Freddie is sweet but I prefer Fred and prefer it as a shortening for Frederick, which is lovely and underused.

omri · 03/09/2016 10:24

Frederick nn fred or freddy.
Super name as a boy or a grownup
