Zachary

Zachary love it!!

SantasLittleMonkeyButler · 25/08/2016 00:18

Daniel is my favourite.

They are all nice names though - except Oliver which I've never been a fan of.

Whichever you choose, you'll have a great name.

Benjamin
Oliver
Matthew

Anbelmum · 25/08/2016 04:34

Edward, all the nick names sound lovely too: Ed, Eddie, Ted & Teddy. In fact it just made my list for if I have another baby!

TheGreatDessert · 25/08/2016 06:20

Zachary. Although I prefer Zachariah.

Cami12 · 25/08/2016 06:39

Lucas then Zachary then Louis.

CakeRattleandRoll · 25/08/2016 17:17

Edward
Then Louis and Matthew

happyvalley4 · 25/08/2016 17:24

Daniel

LondonGirl83 · 25/08/2016 17:26

Louis and Zachary are my top two. None of them are bad.

OyWithThePoodles · 25/08/2016 17:27

Louis

daisydalrymple · 25/08/2016 17:39

Matthew
DH vetoed it for ds1, it's ds2's middle name (still wish it was first!)
Also love Daniel

TurtlesAreAwesome · 25/08/2016 17:41

Lucas and Matthew are my favourites out of your list.

dotdotdotmustdash · 25/08/2016 18:04

I have a Ben (minus the 'Jamin') and even now he's almost 20 I don't regret his name and haven't come across too many others.

MerryMarigold · 25/08/2016 18:05

Daniel. I love 'El' names but doesn't go with our surname. Also like Joel and Gabriel.

Gracey79 · 25/08/2016 18:06

Alexander

JollyHockeyGits · 25/08/2016 21:58

I love Louis!

Alexander
Daniel
Matthew

Would be my top 3, in order. I don't think any of them are boring at all though, they're all really lovely, strong, classic/y names. It's pretty much exactly what my boy name list would be, just with Nathaniel substituted for Zachary!

MrBoot · 26/08/2016 02:25

Alexander. but I find your list very drab. I like classic names like William and John so I'm expected to like your list.

MrBoot · 26/08/2016 02:26

• I expected not I'm expected :-)

Blondie87 · 27/08/2016 09:09

Edward and Benjamin.

16augustholiday · 27/08/2016 09:42

When I clicked on this I was expecting a list of weird names as often seems to be the case on baby name threads. What a pleasant surprise!

I obviously like 'boring' names too OP as DS's names are both in there (and DS2's middle name)! We have a complicated surname so we wanted a solid first name that was easily spelt and we liked the shortened version. As a pp said, teenage boys will have their names shortened whether you like it or not.

As for popularity DS1 has never had another kid in his class with his name. In a year of 300 I think there are two of them. DS2 went through primary with another kid with the same name in his class but now at secondary is the only one in his year of 300. So despite being 'popular' names it is pot luck how it falls.

OP here, for some reason it won't let me change back to my other username (tested the name changing thing out!)

Thank you for all the comments! Smile still not sure which to pick though Grin
