Rose?

I understand that Rose is very commonly used as a middle name nowadays, but what do you think of it as a first name? She will be a twin, almost definitely to be named Clara Juliette. DH is French and it has a very sentimental meaning for us, as in DH's wedding vows he included a quote from "The Little Prince" which in English reads as "It is the time you have wasted for your rose that makes your rose important."

Paternal half-sisters (my step-daughters) are Cassandra Geneviève, Madeleine Emma and Amélie Séraphine, full sister is Lucie Aurélie.

Is it too old fashioned/too popular? Does it go well with her other sisters' names, and her potential twin Clara Juliette? And what do you think of the name Félicité as a middle name?

Rose Félicité and Clara Juliette... I think I like it, but I'm not sure!

Also, don't worry if you think Rose Félicité or any of the other names are too French, as they have a very French surname and a very English name could look a bit silly.

Very grateful for opinions!

I love Rose as a first name. It's classic and simple and makes people think of a beautiful flower whenever they say the name.

babyblabber · 22/07/2016 17:36

Lovely! As is Clara Juliette. Beautiful names.

Beanzmeanzcoffee · 22/07/2016 22:10

I ADORE Rose as a first name.

squoosh · 22/07/2016 22:19

I love it. And there really aren't that many of them. Which is weird seeing how many girls have it as a middle name.

Rose and Clara sound great together.

SteviebunsBottrittrundle · 22/07/2016 22:30

Gorgeous! Love both first names and both middle names.

GoldenWorld · 23/07/2016 09:42

Rose and Clara are lovely but does make me think of Dr. Who.

littlepinkmouseofsugar · 23/07/2016 10:25

Rose Félicité is gorgeous, as is Clara Juliette and the names the other sisters have are really elegant and flow so beautifully as well.

FWIW I think they go very well together - each of my girls has at least one of those names mentioned so I'm a bit biased.

pinkyredrose · 23/07/2016 10:28

It's lovely, the sisters names are all really fab too

ccsays · 23/07/2016 11:56

All your daughters and step daughters names are gorgeous. Agree with Rose and Clara making me think of Doctor Who but that's not a bad thing imo!
