How many Noahs do you know-a?

This is far and away our favourite name for our incoming baby boy. The only one we both truly love. We don't live in the UK so I'm not letting it's apparent recent popularity put me off too much (it's almost unheard of where we live), but I'm curious as to how much eye-rolling there will be from my friends and family back home when we tell them. Are there tons of Noahs everywhere?

I know 6 little Noahs under the age of 4. Don't let it put you off though - it's important that you love the name.
Our dd age 3 has a very popular name, we knew it when we picked it and we don't care- we love it and it suits her

One. And he's not a baby; he'd be at least 10 by now. I also don't live in the UK, but apparently Noah is the 3rd most popular name where I live... No idea where they all are, haha.

I know two. Both under 3.

I don't like religious names so I'm not keen, but it's definitely getting trendy.

Sophronia · 07/07/2016 23:55

I know two.

Wolfiefan · 07/07/2016 23:59

Not many. Please don't shorten it as one parent I met did. To "no". Confused

Cathaka15 · 07/07/2016 23:59

2

TheOldestCat · 08/07/2016 00:05

Four.

123beanie · 08/07/2016 00:06

I don't know any!

caju · 08/07/2016 00:09

Okay great. So the reactions of our friends and family will probably range from "cool that's not too common" to "oh, another one of those", but probably/hopefully not too many "Are you kidding me?! Another flipping Noah?? How unoriginal and boring!"s.

None, but when I was 39 wks pregnant in January I met two baby Noahs in the GP surgery waiting room. It was our favourite name up to that very moment. We called our son Ezra instead (still love Noah though).

OlennasWimple · 08/07/2016 00:18

Four

Porcupinetree · 08/07/2016 05:38

Five, there are under three.

It is important to love the name though...

SummerSazz · 08/07/2016 05:44

3 - all 7 ish

Sierra259 · 08/07/2016 05:46

One, he's about 6. Have not come across any others in 3+ years of baby groups with DC's

Tellmewhyohwhy · 08/07/2016 06:06

I know one baby Noah and a five year old.

wineandcheeseplease · 08/07/2016 06:08

2 under 4's

AwfulBeryl · 08/07/2016 06:12

Noah is a lovely name, don't let it being popular put you off.
We know one Noah. My dts have quite popular names too - top 20/30, they hardly know anyone else with their names.

icklekid · 08/07/2016 06:21

2- both older and teach in a large primary school for 8 years! I like it!

DontDeadOpenInside · 08/07/2016 06:31

2 I can think of straight away. Possibly more if I really think. kids school etc the 2 I can think of straight away are 2 and about 7.

MrsGsnow18 · 08/07/2016 09:08

I only know of 2, both toddlers now. It's really not important what other people think! In my opinion there'll always be one or two people who make bitchy comments like that no matter what make you choose, you can't please everyone! So just please yourselves and choose a name you love!

BigGreenOlives · 08/07/2016 09:09

Know 2 girls named Noa, both teens.

caju · 08/07/2016 11:31

Thanks everyone. I think you pushed us from 90% sure, to 99% sure!
