We are likely to have another girl but need a boys name just in case. My DH really likes the name Jensen but I'm not at all convinced. Please can i have opinions on this name thanks.

Fabulous name, love it!

Hurricane99 · 06/06/2016 16:36

I quite like. Feels like the American surname-as-first-name vibe, like Carter or Wilson. Only association I can think of is Jenson Button, which is ok

toadworthy · 06/06/2016 16:38

It's cool. My boys would love to have a name like that.

justdontevenfuckingstart · 06/06/2016 16:39

Love it!

UntilTheCowsComeHome · 06/06/2016 16:41

I love it.

My mum suggested it to me for DS2 but someone I knew had already used it.

PotOfYoghurt · 06/06/2016 16:43

I like it- Jensen Ackles, Jensen Button etc

Paulat2112 · 06/06/2016 16:47

I love it, my friend is called Jensen but she is female, she lives in the states :)

lalaloopyhead · 06/06/2016 16:52

I'm sorry but I don' like it, I just think Jenson Button and it is also very American sounding. Reminded me of standing in the playground before half term and hearing 'Ayrton (as in Senner I assume) come 'eeeeeeeerrrrrre!'

bluecarpet · 06/06/2016 16:53

Poor child.

LadyAntonella · 06/06/2016 16:58

I like it! I think it's pretty cool. I might wonder if you loved F1 though. Do you?

Iliveinalighthousewiththeghost · 06/06/2016 17:14

Horrible. Sorry

Tiggeryoubastard · 06/06/2016 17:18

Hideous.

Threefaries · 06/06/2016 17:21

Thank you for the feedback so far.

My girls names are all feminin and fairly english traditional. I'm not sure I fancy somethibg that sounds American. Lady, Ihave no interest in f1 at all, my dh is not really a fan. Blue, I would hate m child to have a name that results in your reaction. Hmm, some thinking to do.

I just think there are thousands of normal names out there. Why saddle a child with something off the wall?

ApostrophesMatter · 06/06/2016 18:46

Awful

OSETmum · 06/06/2016 18:46

Love it, I know 2 super cool Jensens 😎

megletthesecond · 06/06/2016 18:48

I like it but wonder if it will become over used in a few years. I know two local Jensens already. (I'm slightly obsessional about not using popular names)

Sucksfake1 · 06/06/2016 18:54

My daughters uncle is called Jenson. She is three and he is a year younger. I hope that answers your question Grin

Threefaries · 06/06/2016 19:10

Seems to be a bit of a marmite name. These negative comments are helpibg me. I will be showing my dh this thread Grin

We had this on our list for a while but I'm not sure now. DH still loves it. It's nice but I know of 3 babies that have been called it in the last year- I wonder if it'll become more common and therefore lose its appeal.

Lilacpink40 · 06/06/2016 19:19

I'm not keen, but I think you'll get a 50:50 reaction to most names. If it 'feels' right to you go for it Smile

ThisisnotthenameIwouldchoose · 06/06/2016 19:24

I really wouldn't use Jensen as a first name.
Jensen is one of the most common surnames in Denmark, and seen as a very boring one because of that. It literally means 'son of Jens'.
Calling someone 'Jensen Smith' is giving him two surnames and no first name.
