Hi all

I like Georgia the best. How would you pronounce Lucia?

Vixxfacee · 02/05/2016 18:57

Like them all.apart from hazel and alethea

Cosycottage4 · 02/05/2016 18:58

PS alethea sounds a bit like alicia with a lisp so like that one the least...

BrexitentialCrisis · 02/05/2016 19:01

I'm a teacher and alethea is just asking for trouble- it will be mis spelt and mis pronounced all the way through school, sorry. It does sound nice though. I like Georgia- you could call her George for short and I love that.

Cocoabutton · 02/05/2016 19:01

My favourites are Imogen and Elise.

Agree about Alethea

29redshoes · 02/05/2016 19:02

I like them all except alethea!

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 02/05/2016 19:03

Alethea is awful. It's too lispy and ugly.

Imogen and Georgia are nice.,

butteredmuffin · 02/05/2016 19:06

I like them all, but Georgia and Lucia the best.

A4Document · 02/05/2016 19:08

I like Georgia, Lucia (if pronounced Loo-chee-ah) and Imogen.

Ilovewillow · 02/05/2016 19:11

All lovely but Imogen is my favourite and Immy always sounds nice as a shortened versio !

Howaboutthisone · 02/05/2016 19:12

I like Imogen, Elise and Georgia.
Not keen on the others.

3yearsnosleep · 02/05/2016 20:13

Thanks everyone! I think Alethea might be out then!

Would pronounce Lucia (Lu-see-a). Can't decide if that's asking for trouble spelling/pronunciation wise as well. We already have an unusual surname that's difficult to spell.

Imogen - meh
Alethea (A-lee-thea) - nice
Lucia - like
Hazel - love
Georgia - love
Elise - will be always misread as Elsie

Sophronia · 02/05/2016 20:21

How about Althea instead of Alethea?

3yearsnosleep · 02/05/2016 20:26

Hmm maybe although it sounds a bit like Anthea which reminds me of Anthea Turner Smile

Imogen is my favourite followed by Hazel.

minipie · 02/05/2016 20:28

I like Elise, Georgia and Lucia best

BoboBunnyH0p · 02/05/2016 20:38

Imogen gets my vote it's my DD name. We used Immy as a nn but DD didn't like it, however as she heads towards her teenage years her friends call her Iggy.

septembersunshine · 02/05/2016 20:57

Lucia gets my vote (but a Lucy!!). What about Cassia?

TempsPerdu · 02/05/2016 20:57

Love Hazel and Lucia, but only with Loo-chee-a pronunciation.

Cosycottage4 · 02/05/2016 21:21

I love loo-chi-a too!

Bellalilysmith123 · 09/05/2016 00:56

Georgia & Lucia both gorgeous

Winterbiscuit · 09/05/2016 09:21

Alethea = Ale Thea

Also sounds like Alicia with a lisp.

ABitAsleep · 09/05/2016 11:44

Like all of them other than Alethea

I would order them;

Hazel
Lucia (pronounced your way - Lu-cee-ah)
Elise
Georgia (shortened to Georgie)
Imogen (Shortened to Immy)

PointlessUsername · 09/05/2016 11:45

Hazel gets my vote
