We've finally decided on a name for our third DD. Shamefully, it was partly the utterly delicious Tom Hiddleston in The Night Manager who inspired it, and sadly not everyone who uses her name will be a tall gorgeous posh man with a sexy voice.

But I still love it, and it's the first name we've both agreed on and it feels right. So we're going with it, but I was just interested in hearing opinions.

Middle name is probably going to be Pearl but that may change.

Love it. Friend has a Jemima, and it suits her.

nomorechocolate2016 · 01/04/2016 18:32

I don't mind it. Very posh. I know one aged about 6.

Coldtoeswarmheart · 01/04/2016 18:34

It's a nice name, but I am old and so it's a rag doll from Playschool for me (I was ecstatic when Floella Benjamin turned up on CBeebies).

WanderingTrolley1 · 01/04/2016 18:36

Classic, pretty, feminine.

OrlandaFuriosa · 01/04/2016 18:37

Love it.

loosechange · 01/04/2016 18:37

Love it

emsyj · 01/04/2016 18:38

It's top of my list if we ever have DD3.

SkodaLabia · 01/04/2016 18:39

Lovely.

Lovelongweekends · 01/04/2016 18:39

Makes me think of Jemima Puddle duck but I still quite like it!

IHaveBrilloHair · 01/04/2016 18:40

Love it, one of my cats is named this because I'm not having more children.
We call her Mimles.

DryShampoo · 01/04/2016 18:42

It's Jemima Puddleduck for me, and God, that is one disturbing story, all about frustrated motherhood and predation... Grin

ShinyShinyShiny · 01/04/2016 18:45

I really like Jemima, Mimi for short.

LucilleLeSueur · 01/04/2016 18:46

Ooh lots of replies already! Thanks all.

We're not at all posh, and in fact are not in the UK so I think here we will get a few Hmm but I'm ok with that.

Nn will probably be Jed. And I do worry about the Beatrix Potter association but I don't think we had Playschool here so I don't know that one!

Glad it seems to be reasonably well-liked though. Our other two girls have lovely names not biased at all and we were miserable at not having something we really love lined up.

My niece is a Jemima with nickname Jemmy. Only girl with brothers, Matthew, Asher and Rafferty.

Sophronia · 01/04/2016 18:53

I love it with nn Mima, Mimi or Jem

ZenNudist · 01/04/2016 18:54

Not a fan sorry I just think 'puddle duck'

It's neither pretty or posh but then again if you love it what does or matter what random internet person think?!

FeralBeryl · 01/04/2016 18:56
Hmm Well I think it's pretty AND posh Grin And I've got one! NN Mimi. Everyone comments on how lovely her name is.
Howtocatchastar · 01/04/2016 18:57

Love it, with mimi as a nn!

FoxesSitOnBoxes · 01/04/2016 19:00

Love it! (it is posh but so what?) really pretty and Jed is a cool abbreviation

nellyflora · 01/04/2016 19:09

Has the night manager made this popular ?😱 Yes it is beutiful and classic and defiantly upper class. Very much an English Rose name.
I love it and don't want it popular btw

Janek · 01/04/2016 19:12

People with the nickname Mimi - is the meemee or mymy ( or mymee...)?

Katarzyna79 · 01/04/2016 19:12
