Welsh Girls Name Needed.

I'm in need of a name for DD2 due in July and me and DH can't seem to agree on any so far. I thought I'd seen them all but there might be something I'm missing.

It needs to be Welsh, not to difficult to pronounce, I can't roll my R's and sometimes struggle with the dd (th) sound, not always though. DH is the Welsh one, not me.

DD1 is Celyn but I don't want a rhymey name for DD2 so that makes it even more difficult. Our surname is H, so I don't really want a H name either.

I love Erin but it's too close to Celyn. I like Ffion, Nia and Gwen but DH seems to like the more 'out there' names. I can't even remember how to pronounce his current favourite, it was a bit like Gwyneth, but more of a mouth full.

We both like Meri, but wondering if there is something else.

My head is puddled. Please help :)

These are good, Nerys was the harpists name at our wedding.

I like Beth and Ruth, don't love them though. Nesta makes me think of Nessa from Gavin & Stacey.

I do love Elspeth but worry about it being shortened to Ellie, which is silly popular around here.

Please don't call your child Aderyn or Deryn. It means Bird and it's very very out there and weird. Also, beware baby name sites. Most of them are not created by Welsh speakers so just have random words as names- I found a site once that listed Artaith as a name- the Welsh word for torture!!

Also, Tegan means toy in Welsh.

my friend's little girl is called Deryn and it really suits her. It's not viewed as 'out there' at all where we live (just over the border from England and definitely not traditionally Welsh at all). Horses for courses I suppose.

Seeing as you're due in summer, what about Haf? It's very popular. Also, Heulwen (sunshine), Heulyn (sunbeam), Hafwen.

I actually really like the name Deryn Hush, never heard of one before (surprisingly, as I live in a verrry hippyish area of Wales!) I used to love Lloer for a girl, which means moon, si I can hardly judge anyone for out there nature names
