is it a bit 90's do you think?

OP posts:
Vixxfacee · 16/03/2016 23:08

Definitely 90s. I wouldn't.

InkleWinkle · 16/03/2016 23:12

Lovely

JeanGenie23 · 16/03/2016 23:15

No I am not a fan, I hold it in the same regard as Michelle (DH suggestion) it's too 90s maybe in a generations time it will be the granny chic!

DrAmandaBentley · 16/03/2016 23:15

I think it's a very pretty name, and not very common these days. I really like it.

Sophronia · 16/03/2016 23:21

I like it

antiqueroadhoe · 16/03/2016 23:23

I still think of Nicole? Papa? Renault Clio

Jw35 · 16/03/2016 23:25

I've always liked it

writingonthewall · 16/03/2016 23:26

Papa immediately springs to mind. Showing my age. ...

Coldtoeswarmheart · 16/03/2016 23:26

Bit 90s.

silkyoreilly · 16/03/2016 23:36

Not keen on it.

BackforGood · 16/03/2016 23:50

I like it - fits all my criteria....
People reading it will know how to say it
People hearing it will know how to spell it
It's an actual name, and isn't the name of an object
The fact it's not really, really, really popular at the moment is a real bonus. Smile

MartinRohdesBellybuttonFluff · 16/03/2016 23:54

Love it.

Also think of Nicole, Papa!

seeyouinthetreehouse · 17/03/2016 00:05

I like the idea of a name that suits a grown up rather than a little girl. And I like the nickname Coco for when she is little. I think it's quite elegant.

It is a bit dated but I still like it (plus I have a lovely friend called Nicole). I think it sounds quite sophisticated. There definitely won't be many other Nicole's at the moment if that's important to you!

manicinsomniac · 17/03/2016 10:13

I like it.

The only Nicoles I know would have been 80s babies, not 90s.

But I think it's pretty and due a revival

Jw35 · 17/03/2016 13:31

Coco is a cute nn op!

ABitAsleep · 17/03/2016 13:32

Go for it! Everything else 'dated' has come back around, so why can't this come back - i like it :)

Ilovegummibaers · 17/03/2016 15:18

Nice classic name!

The fact that it was trendy 20 years ago means it isn't overused today - it's still the same name without everyone else sharing it with you.

Go for it! Much better than another Ellie, Evie or other similar currently trendy name.

SqueegyBeckinheim · 17/03/2016 15:24

I really like it, I wanted to call DD Nicole, but DH vetoed it Sad.

IoraRua · 17/03/2016 15:41

It's lovely. Who really gives a feck if it was 90s popular. Sure Amelia, Sofia etc all will scream 2010s but are still perfectly acceptable names.
It doesn't strike me as dated in the way that say Maura, Gary, Trevor or Carol would.

ClarenceTheLion · 17/03/2016 15:58

Whenever I meet a Nicole I always have to run through the "Nicole? Papa?!" bit in my head. But that's because I'm of a Certain Age... It's a nice name, and she almost definitely won't go through school life being a first name and last name initial!

Ilovegummibaers · 17/03/2016 16:20

I don't get this 'dated' or '90s' comment either. Surely it's better to choose a name that isnt't CURRENTLY overused. Nicole is a lovely classic name that isn't overused at the moment, go for it!

sugar21 · 17/03/2016 16:22

My Mum is Nicole so yes it's a nice name
