Isabella
Jessica
Lola

ddeemummy · 12/03/2016 10:43

Imogen is nicest in my opinion. I also like Rosanna just because its different.

The other names are just far too popular for me seems to be a new Isabella/Isabel/Bella born everyway I turn lately.

ddeemummy · 12/03/2016 10:44

Melody is also nice and different

Northernlurker · 12/03/2016 10:48

Imogen
Ava
Emily
Jessica

NOT Layla or Lola or Isabella

What about Louisa? Or Alice?

5BlueHydrangea · 12/03/2016 10:51

Freya, Melody or Imogen get my vote.

Isabella and Lola really popular so no.

Sophronia · 12/03/2016 11:29

Rosanna or Rose

manicinsomniac · 12/03/2016 12:29

Isabella - Love it. Like Izzy too and Bella is okay. Heard Issy and Ibbie which are lovely and a bit different.
Jessica - Love it. I have an 8 year old Jessica and, although it's been top 10ish for a long time, there seem to be strangely few around.
Freya - Never been keen on this but not sure why, it's pretty enough
Rosanna/rose - Quite like it. Prefer Rosie to either.
Melody - Don't like this at all.
Lola - It's ok. I wasn't keen but now I know such a gorgeous little Lola that it's growing on me.
Ava - Love it. Yes, it's popular but names are popular for a reason.
Layla - Quite like it. Prefer Lyla, Lyra and Lila
Imogen - Really like it.
Emily - Quite like it
Eva - Love it. Think it has a classier, more adult feel than Ava but that might just be because it's been in common usage for longer.

I think I'd pick Jessica or Ava

Iliveinalighthousewiththeghost · 12/03/2016 12:52

Isabella
Layla
Ava.

ashesandfire · 12/03/2016 14:43

Rosanna, Imogen or Freya.

mrsschu · 12/03/2016 15:13

Love Rosanna, Eva and Ava. In spite of their popularity I only know one Eva and one Ava under 5. Some of the other names on your list are nice but a bit dull IMO eg. Emily, Jessica. Melody is a bit silly. The other names on there are fine but not really my cup of tea and mostly very popular also.

Quercus3 · 13/03/2016 08:02

Freya
Rosanna
Lola
Eva

Belikethat · 13/03/2016 08:06

I like them all, maybe not Lola or Layla or Emily so much.

Belikethat · 13/03/2016 08:08

The only thing with Ava and Eva (and Eve/Evie) is that there are so many it is easy to get them mixed up.

applecatchers36 · 13/03/2016 08:11

Imogen or Freya are my favourites from your list
Emily and Rose also nice names

MamaLazarou · 13/03/2016 14:14

Definitely Rosanna or Melody. Freya is a bit drippy and the others are too common.

PageStillNotFound404 · 13/03/2016 15:28

Not keen on Lola or Layla but the rest are lovely, especially Jessica, Imogen and Freya. Of the 'rose' names I prefer Rosalind to Rosanna but the latter is still pretty.

NanaNina · 13/03/2016 15:35

Not Isabella - the class will be full of them! I like most of the others apart from Melody. I love Rosanna, or my DGD's name Anya - and she's the only one in the school! Mind it's a small school. My other DGD is Isla which is pretty but very popular.

JungleBoat · 13/03/2016 16:25

Isabella - I really like! Izzie and Bella are lovely nicknames, too :)
Jessica - My sister's name, so I like it! Jessie/Jess are nice :)
Freya - Nope, I don't like it - it sounds frumpy, IMO :(
Rosanna/Rose - I love them both; I adore Rosie! (I'd just go with that)...
Melody - It sounds pretty and Mel is cool.
Lola - Nice
Ava - Nice, but I do prefer Eva...
Layla - Again, sounds pretty.
Imogen - Okay
Emily - I have a soft spot for this name! It's classic, but cool and pretty - I love the NN Emmie :)
Eva - Love, it can have the NN Eve/Evie too!

My favourite is probably Isabella (but that's at a push!)

My favourites: Isabella, Rosanna/Rose, Emily and Eva!

Summ3r · 13/03/2016 20:15

Thanks everyone! Choosing a name is sooooo hard ! Does anyone have any other suggestions going by the names I like ? Just in case I'm missing a really good name !

Love Rosanna! It's a lovely balance of quite rare but familiar sounding.

Imogen and Emily are both sweet

Pippafisher · 14/03/2016 09:12

Definitely prefer melody or Freya. As a primary teacher the others are just too popular! In a class of 30 this year there are seven isobel/ isabellas and four Emily, Eva, Ava,!! And I teach in a small school!!! Confused

Pippafisher · 14/03/2016 09:14

Oh! And my best friends daughter is Layla and there seem to be lots of those. What about Leila instead, I think its a much prettier spelling!

Oogle · 14/03/2016 09:16

Melody, Freya or Emily for me.

pilates · 14/03/2016 09:22

I like them all except Lola and Layla, but if I had to choose it would be Jessica followed by Imogen.
