StealthPolarBear · 03/03/2016 14:50

Makes me think of the song. "I'm gonna make you the biggest star the world has ever seen"
Get out the cardboard, scissors and the glitter glue :)

AliciaMayEmory · 03/03/2016 14:52

Emma lean. I had a friend as a kid called this. I like it.

Iliveinalighthousewiththeghost · 03/03/2016 15:04

Sophronia · 03/03/2016 15:48

Sophronia · 03/03/2016 15:49

*leen not learn

lljkk · 03/03/2016 15:55

Emma Line.
Does it matter?

Jemimapuddleduk · 03/03/2016 15:55

The one at my children's nursery is pronounced emme-line

mangocoveredlamb · 03/03/2016 16:00

U.K. Pronounciation is Emma Lean (based on the a a Milne poem, Emmeline to rhyme with queen)

US pronounciation is Emma Line.

I think!!

mangocoveredlamb · 03/03/2016 16:00

Basically you can pronounce it however you want!

GooseFriend · 03/03/2016 16:02

Emma line

ABitAsleep · 03/03/2016 16:04

Emm-eh-leen

OvO · 03/03/2016 16:07

Emm e lean
Or maybe
Emmy lean

There's definitely an e sound when I say it rather than an a.

AuntieStella · 03/03/2016 16:10

emm-uh-leen

(the 'uh' being schwa)

DontKillMyVibe · 03/03/2016 21:10

Emma-line. The second syllable sounding the same as Caroline.

NadiaWadia · 03/03/2016 21:49

Emma leen

Gummibearchen · 04/03/2016 13:53

Where does the 'a' come from that some of you are adding? To me it is
like it is written, Emm-e-leen!

Thurlow · 04/03/2016 13:55

Emma-leen.

NadiaWadia · 04/03/2016 19:38

Gummi The point is that the first part of the name is pronounced the same as 'Emma'. Plus 'leen'. I suppose strictly speaking it is not actually an 'a' sound, but more like 'Emm-uh'. But that's the same with every name ending in 'a', and everyone knows what is meant, I would have thought.

Pegaroo · 05/03/2016 11:16

Emmaline should probably be pronounced the same as Caroline...emphasis on line and not lean or lyn.....very pretty name
