I'm not keen. It's not very feminine.

FunkyPeacock · 20/02/2016 21:54

I like it but don't love it - I prefer Georgina

Only1scoop · 20/02/2016 21:54

Makes me think of Atlanta

Don't hate it though

calzone · 20/02/2016 21:55

Gorgeous

DramaAlpaca · 20/02/2016 21:55

I much prefer Georgina.

SanityClause · 20/02/2016 21:56

When I was in my late teens/early 20s I thought this was the coolest girls name on the planet. (Georgia on my mind.)

I am now in my late 40s and I know a lot of Georgias, born in the last 20-odd years.

It's sort of lost its coolth, in the last couple of decades, or so.

thebiscuitindustry · 20/02/2016 21:58

It's a lovely name Smile

I like Georgina too, but find Georgiana too frilly.

BoyGirlBoy3 · 20/02/2016 22:00

I think it is lovely, are you going to have a middle name?

Onemoretime29 · 20/02/2016 22:03

Thanks for the replies! Yes, we'd need a middle name too!

Stay Georgia not Georgina! :)

WhereBeThatBlackbirdTo · 20/02/2016 22:04

It's lovely

wonkylampshade · 20/02/2016 22:05

Great name - much prefer it to Georgina.

HeteronormativeHaybales · 20/02/2016 22:08

Not keen, sorry. But it's not out there or offensive.

Mumoftwoyoungkids · 20/02/2016 22:08

I like it. I was thinking seriously about it for my second child. And then we discovered he was a boy which made it slightly less suitable.....

BoyGirlBoy3 · 20/02/2016 22:13

Georgia Violet
Georgia milly

BoyGirlBoy3 · 20/02/2016 22:14

Mumoftwoyoungkids - you could of called him george, gorgeous george.

ashesandfire · 20/02/2016 22:32

For me it sounds very serious, flat and a bit clunky. I find it quite boring- sorry. It doesn't have any sparkle to it.
I have taught loads of Georgias and Georges though, which might be why.
I much prefer Georgina, I think it's prettier.

Iliveinalighthousewiththeghost · 20/02/2016 22:45

I think it's very pretty. All the Georgias that I know have beautiful red hair and blue eyes

MamaLazarou · 20/02/2016 22:49

I love Georgia and Georgina.

mrsschu · 20/02/2016 23:06

On the fence about it, I don't love it or loathe it.

SnuffleGruntSnorter · 20/02/2016 23:11

I think it's lovely

JudgeJudySheindlin · 20/02/2016 23:27

This was an option when I had DD so naturally I love it. Classical & beautiful

ddeemummy · 20/02/2016 23:37

Love name Georgia. Considered for my 2 girls

Sophronia · 21/02/2016 00:33

It's a bit 90s/00s. I prefer Georgina.

AtiaoftheJulii · 21/02/2016 00:37

I like it, though there seem to be quite a few around aged late teens, early twenties. Really don't like Georgina.
