So, how about these 3 names, which one do you all prefer?

Jemima.

India is a lovely name - but it's a country.

And kitty is a cat.

jamenhej · 13/02/2016 19:00

India, such a lovely name!

Sallyhasleftthebuilding · 13/02/2016 19:05

I wanted a Jemima - Love Kitty, a few of those about - India bit dated from the 80's

ashesandfire · 13/02/2016 19:05

I would choose Katherine/Catherine nn Kitty.
If you just wanted to use Kitty on its own, I'd choose India.

DramaAlpaca · 13/02/2016 19:07

I'd go for Katherine nn Kitty, but not Kitty on its own.

Jemima would be my next choice.

India would be a long way down the list.

DontKillMyVibe · 13/02/2016 19:10

Jemima

Sofiria · 13/02/2016 19:35

Kitty is my favourite nickname for Katherine (or its variants) but I wouldn't use it on its own.

I also like Jemima (although it might be seen differently in the US due to having racist cultural connotations there, if that's at all relevant to you). Not keen on India as a name.

Jemima

thebiscuitindustry · 13/02/2016 20:58

India

chocolatecheesecake · 13/02/2016 21:06

Katherine nn Kitty (not kitty on its own), or Jemima. Not India. The Indias I know end up called indie which I don't like. Mima a nice nn for jemima.

JennyOnAPlate · 13/02/2016 21:39

I know a 5 year old kitty. It's a cute name and it suits her well but I can't imagine it working well on a 30 year old. There's something a bit sex worker about it I think Blush

Sophronia · 13/02/2016 21:45

Kitty, it was my great gran's name. I also like Jemima a lot, not keen on India.

LollyLauren · 13/02/2016 21:46

Jemima

Sallyhasleftthebuilding · 13/02/2016 22:19

I'll let my great gran know - she'll be delighted!! All 92 year olds need extra income Grin

Quercus3 · 13/02/2016 23:29

India, lovely

FarrowandBallAche · 14/02/2016 17:24

India.

Zeusette · 14/02/2016 17:25

India

sugarplumfairy28 · 14/02/2016 17:31

They all sound like cat names to me, sorry. Jemina at a push.

spanky2 · 14/02/2016 17:43

Kitty. Although my beautiful cat is called that! But to be fair ds2's name is often used for a dog's name.

WinterWinnie · 14/02/2016 19:34
  1. Jemima
  2. Kitty
  3. India
:)
ThroughThickAndThin01 · 14/02/2016 19:36

Kitty is my favourite name. I love India and Jemima too.

Marnie is my second favourite name, any good?

storm1974 · 15/02/2016 10:50

thanks for all your comments! Really interesting to have anonymous verdicts as family seem to put me off everything i like!!

I think they are all nice names, but India tops the list.

My advice though is just go with whatever name you love the most - don't be put off by family opinions. Not everyone is going to love the name you have chosen, but it doesn't much matter :-)

Sallyhasleftthebuilding · 15/02/2016 12:31

SM hats one DD name - I don't care!! It suits her and she's the only one in school -

cheekstime · 15/02/2016 12:56

India the best out of them all x
