Cedar, Calvin, Huxley or Tate

I'm leaning towards Huxley but then I heard the pig song. Do you think anyone still gets that reference or just old people?

The other option - probably saved as a middle name is Atticus

I like Cedar. I haven't heard it as a name before but it would be a really nice and unusual choice.

I think Alduous, don't know a song and over 40.

Like Huxley and Calvin, not keen on the other two, especially Tate. Lots of people don't pronounce Ts, so 'Tay', makes me think of 'taters and ate.

I prefer Atticus out of them all

Cedar is a bit too River Phoenix for me.

I'd keep Atticus as a middle name if you're using it. That name is kind of tainted now, thanks to Go Set A Watchman.

Do you think Huxley goes in the same American naff camp as names like Oakley and Bentley? I know the ending is the same but I'm hoping it feels a bit different from them

Calvin's the only one that really looks like a name to me. Atticus is a bit try hard hipster.

Atticus is my favourite and Calvin's the only one I like from the choice of four, but I'd need to shorten it to Cal.

I don't understand the Dudley Dursley connection. Just googled and it's Harry Potter but I've managed to never read any HP so far. Is it the "ley"s sound or does he do something that sounds like Huxley?

Cedar is lovely, I was at school with an oak and I always thought that was fab.

I think "and Hobbes" for Calvin. Which is not a bad thing.

I like Huxley and don't think you should worry about the pig song! It's not in my frame of reference much less his generation's.
