Family guy. Good name though. But I think people would just assume you're an avid fan.

Herrerarerra · 12/01/2016 12:26

I think of the mythical creature, and I'd also think that his parents must've been on something when they named him. Sorry.

Bambooshoots14 · 12/01/2016 12:28

Griffindor

Peter griffin

LastOneDancing · 12/01/2016 12:28

I contemplated Griffin for my DS. I thought a little Griff was quite cute.

Sort of VERY glad I didn't now.

VagueIdeas · 12/01/2016 12:28

I think of Lowri Turner, who used it for her son. I'm not a fan of hers Wink

EssentialHummus · 12/01/2016 12:32

...dor.

Starbores · 12/01/2016 12:32

Makes me think of Harry Potter, but I like it. Griff is quite well known as a name in wales.

Branleuse · 12/01/2016 12:40

i think of an obscure tv series we had to watch at primary school. And then i think of the mythological creature

IrianofWay · 12/01/2016 12:43

Meeep · 12/01/2016 12:46

cheapandcheerful · 12/01/2016 12:55

Family Guy here too I'm afraid

Bohemond · 12/01/2016 12:59

Griffin Saver (gimmer) Midland Bank's account for children

Figgygal · 12/01/2016 13:02

I immediately think..............that poor child

APlaceOnTheCouch · 12/01/2016 13:03
  1. pub where I spent most of my student years
  2. mythical creature
MissElizaBennett · 12/01/2016 13:04

Ten points to Griffindor!

But also the somewhat less magical BNP, I'm afraid.

Tomboyinatutu · 12/01/2016 13:08

Mythical creature Grin

ThursdayLastWeek · 12/01/2016 13:10

It's a surname.

Imfinehowareyou · 12/01/2016 13:39

ooh, Party of Five. That takes me back Grin

Came on to say Family Guy. And Griff Rhys Jones. And Midland Bank (still have my dictionary [preens]).

Your child will make the name their own and all these associations will mean nothing once Griffin is attached to a lovely son. His peers won't know of any of these links either.

Spillette · 12/01/2016 14:00

I love it!

RiverTam · 12/01/2016 14:02

Nick Griffin

Ilovegummibears · 12/01/2016 14:13

I don't think of anything, actually. But if I met a Griffin, I'd associate the name with him!

Tirfarthoin · 12/01/2016 14:38

Welsh name and mythical creature

What do you think when you hear the name Griffin?
Sofiria · 12/01/2016 16:45
