Finally narrowed our names down to these two. Any preferences? Baby due immenently. I think the plan is to see what she looks like and then decide.
I was never this uncertain with my son but have always found girls names more difficult.

I like both, guess how it fits with surnames & middle name could swing it??

Clara is elegant and perhaps more unusual :-)

Bodicea · 02/01/2016 14:35

Clara Elizabeth
Or Erica Charlotte
I want a more traditional middle name.
Surname is short - one syllable - both work well with it.

Erica is lovely but IMO its a the type of name that has to be chosen for a reason eg after an uncle or grandad named Eric. IYSWIM. But I'm probably in that mindset because DD's best friend is an Erica both her granddads were named Eric.
Clara Elizabeth is very elegant and Sophisticated. If you go with it are you going to hyphenate it.

Bodicea · 02/01/2016 14:46

No I wouldn't hyphenate.

Both are as nice as each other so I can see why you have difficulty choosing! It might well be that you do have to wait until baby arrives and decide then if she looks more like an Erica or a Clara!

Not much help I know Grin

Oh, I think an Erica would be lovely and original!
I really like it

What about Clara Erica?

I don't really like Erica though.

Sophronia · 02/01/2016 15:42

I think Clara is going to increase a lot in popularity. I prefer Erica.

IoraRua · 02/01/2016 16:29

Erica is gorgeous. Not really a fan of Clara.

FlysInDreams · 02/01/2016 16:32

Is that Clara to rhyme with car or care? I've heard of both.

CPtart · 02/01/2016 16:41

Erica. Seems a stronger name somehow. Clara is a bit frilly and girly. Erica Faye would be my choice but Erica Charlotte is lovely too.

Bodicea · 02/01/2016 16:48

Clara to rhyme with car.

Both are lovely! I think Erica, it's a bit more unusual and such a strong name. Erica Charlotte is gorgeous!

TrinityForce · 02/01/2016 17:18

Clara.

xmasseason · 02/01/2016 19:04

Erica. It's more unusual.

Shop · 02/01/2016 19:05

Definitely Erica Charlotte it's really lovely.

WorldsBiggestGrotbag · 02/01/2016 19:05

Clare Elizabeth is lovely

WorldsBiggestGrotbag · 02/01/2016 19:05

I mean Clara!

Unoriginalusername123 · 02/01/2016 19:50

I find Elizabeth a little full and predictable in the middle name slot, so much as I love Clara, I think Erica Charlotte is a stunning choice.

DramaAlpaca · 03/01/2016 00:55

I really like Erica Charlotte.

UnderTheGreenwoodTree · 03/01/2016 00:59

Both are gorgeous. If I had a gun to my head, I'd probably choose Clara Smile

Boogers · 03/01/2016 01:00

I really like both names, though the only Clara I've known was pronounced 'Clar-a', not 'Clair-a'. Both are lovely though, especially with the middle names. Smile

mammmamia · 03/01/2016 01:00

Clara Elizabeth for me. Not keen on Erica but Clara is on my list for theoretical DD2!

ske001 · 03/01/2016 12:08

Clara is beautiful I knew a Clara once and always loved the name!

CremeEggThief · 03/01/2016 12:10

Clara Elizabeth sounds gorgeous. The names flow together well.
