I can't decide between the name Zoey or Aurora. Please help me to decide.

Zoey

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 13/12/2015 17:27

Zoe

Not Zo ee ee

myotherusernameisbetter · 13/12/2015 17:35

Aurora is the sound of a dog chewing a toffee so it's Zoe for me.

mummy2twobabies · 13/12/2015 17:39

Looks like Zoey is the choice at the minute. My dd really likes it. I like aurora mainly because I like the nn Rory.

Zoe. No y.

celtictoast · 13/12/2015 17:45

I prefer Aurora.

UntilTheCowsComeHome · 13/12/2015 19:48

Rory is a gorgeous nickname for Aurora.

Like Zoe too but agree it's better without the Y.

IguanaTail · 13/12/2015 19:50

Don't put a y on it. She will have to spell it every day for her whole life.

villainousbroodmare · 13/12/2015 19:50

Both lovely but I'd certainly drop the y on Zoe.

Sophronia · 13/12/2015 19:53

Zoe spelled this way.

IguanaTail · 13/12/2015 19:55

With two dots on the e Zoë

StDogolphin · 13/12/2015 19:55

Zoe

Although I too like the nn Rory!

mummy2twobabies · 13/12/2015 20:24

Thank you for all your answers. I never thought the y would be a big deal as our surname is one you have to spell. But if I pick Zoe/y it will be something I really think about as I hate spelling my name all the time. It would be unfair on dd2 to have to spell both her names.

Zoe no y

rocket74 · 13/12/2015 22:22

I like Zoey and I don't mind the y.
Don't like Aurora - I think it's too defining - hippy skirts and dream catchers etc. Airy fairy insubstantial characters in books get called Aurora.

MyBootsAreMuddy · 13/12/2015 22:22

Zoe y

Coral2094 · 13/12/2015 23:37

I only know great Zoes

Aurora is lovely too though and nickname Rory is wonderful!

SilverOldie2 · 14/12/2015 14:11

Zoe no y

Winterqueen · 14/12/2015 14:19

Zoe

Stollenlover · 14/12/2015 14:28

I much prefer Aurora

AmusingSpoonerism · 14/12/2015 14:30

Another vote for Zoe no y here (I'm someone who has to spell both names, don't do it)

CakeRattleandRoll · 14/12/2015 15:03

Zoe gets my vote too.

MrsCaecilius · 14/12/2015 16:18

Definitely no 'y' on Zoe unless you want her to have to spell it out to everyone she meets.

Personally I think Aurora/ (Rory nn) is prettier. Zoe's a bit plain.

toffeeboffin · 14/12/2015 16:33

Prefer Aurora.
