So.....we have lots of boys names we love but appear to have run out of inspiration for girls.

As we love Rachel and Hannah (she was nearly Anna)......what others might we like??

Not sure what the Welsh side of the family would think of Delilah

Why? Why? Why? Grin
My DH is very Welshy, he doesn't know but Delilah is totally on my "to name future spawn" list. Grin (its not unusual..)

Sarah. Definitely.

You have chosen beautiful names for your daughters. Well done.

Sophronia · 11/10/2015 22:16

I love Rebecca/Rebekah with Rachel and Hannah, and all your boys names are great.

CloudAtlas81 · 12/10/2015 12:05

Starky . . . you've just made me guffaw in a very quiet waiting room.

blush

Olivia officially off the list. . . . just can't do it.

Sarah sadly doesn't go with our surname, it sounds like a cartoon character when put together. Not necessarily a bad thing but not what we're aiming for.

We've written down all the ones we like from this thread. It's really helped us see the wood from the trees! We've going to stop thinking about it for a few weeks and try to come back to it fresh.

Sorry cloud Grin . I feel your pain re the last name situation, we have an animal based last name so every (first) name associated with nature combined with our last name sounds like a character from a 1960's cowboys and Indians film. It's a predicament for sure as I'm one of those cruel people who thinks things like Blossom and Clover would be cute. My DH disagrees, he thinks they sound like "stripper names" Grin . Good job I'm not pregnant yet or it could come to fisticuffs in our house!

In the old testament, Leah and Rachel were sisters.

Belated thanks MrsTwee - I find the name picking process a tad overwhelming. . . but I do think the ones we've picked are solid and will stand the test of time.

Ah Starky. . . yup very similar issue here. Though have to be honest, am with your DH on Blossom and Clover. Think it might be both of them together, but they sound like they could be the saloon girls upstairs. "well then, alrightly Sir, Blossom and Clover o'there will take care of all your needs . . . ".

Also have form for changing my mind as soon as little one arrives. Both Rachel and Hannah were due to be Natalie and Anna until they arrived!

I do like Leah. . . dotdot but doesn't meld well with surname and I think as there might be three girls having two named after sisters and the middle one not feels a bit 'wrong'. Potentially overthinking now though!

mathanxiety · 16/10/2015 23:59

Adah or Ada.

PolkadotsAndMoonbeams · 17/10/2015 00:27

Sophie? Although if Sarah sounds like a cartoon character that might be too similar.

R00tat00tt00t · 17/10/2015 00:39

I immediately thought of Martha when I read your girls names but Esther, Ruth, Miriam and Leah would also fit well - all traditional, biblical, strong yet pretty names IMO.
