So.....we have lots of boys names we love but appear to have run out of inspiration for girls.

As we love Rachel and Hannah (she was nearly Anna)......what others might we like??

Hmmm. Hadn't thought of the Friends connection.

That's a shame!!! I thought we might have hit on the right one then.

Really appreciating all the suggestions, going to go through them with DH later.

Olivia was our original choice but a cousin recently used it. One of those things! Took a while to explain to DH why we couldn't also use it. Geographically close cousins as well. . . although in desperation I think I've started to convince myself it would be ok. Don't worry, I know deep down it wouldn't be!

If Hannah were Monica I might think twice but if you are keen on Phoebe, why not.

LisbethSalandersLaptop · 06/10/2015 10:05

oh the Friends connection - my children are of that generation, so many Joeys, Phoebies and Rosses. I used one of these myself without even realising!

ShowOfHands · 06/10/2015 12:48

You can use Olivia.

It's been at the top of the charts or thereabouts for a while. It's not like it's a rare name. If you love it, use it.

BlueChampagne · 08/10/2015 12:57

Fiona, if you decide against Phoebe?

Jenijena · 08/10/2015 13:00

Rachel and Hannah are my favourite girls names (would be interested in what you would opt for a boy...). Next would be something around Rebecca, Catherine, Sarah and Elizabeth.

Bin85 · 08/10/2015 13:04

Naomi
Abigail
Emma
Jane
Ellen
Sophie

Elmo303 · 08/10/2015 13:56

I immediately thought Chloe.

SionnachDana · 09/10/2015 19:15

Naomi or Susie

JasperDamerel · 09/10/2015 19:20

Esther

Abigail

Naomi

Ruth, only it gives two with the same initial.

Sarah

StarkyTheDirewolf · 10/10/2015 00:14

Rebekah, Esther, Ruth, Lydia. All biblical. Or wildcard bible name Delilah Grin

Iliveinalighthousewiththeghost · 10/10/2015 00:21

Isobel
Nicole
Megan
Eliza.

My first thought was Miriam.

How about Madeleine?

mathanxiety · 10/10/2015 04:37

Or:
Daphne
Eden
Vita
Joy
Gabrielle
Cecelia
Louisa
Theodora
Esme

BoboChic · 10/10/2015 05:36

Rachel and Hannah are "timeless biblical" names and IMO you need to stay in the same mode for your third DD. Avoid names that have surged in popularity due to TV shows, like Phoebe!

Sarah is much underused these days but so pretty.

CloudAtlas81 · 10/10/2015 15:24

Hi all,

Sorry for quietness. A virus ran through the whole family this week.

Phoebe is ruled out fully now - however we have a late entry with Matilda inspired by Madeleine. Also loving Theodora, Rebecca/Rebekah.

Not sure what the Welsh side of the family would think of Delilah!

What about Olivia? We keep coming back to it. . .

As for boys - we have Samuel, Benjamin, Joseph. They were the easy ones. Haven't changed since no 1. I love Sam for a boy but don't feel it would be right for a girl in our little family, like BohoChic mentions.

i think Rebecca fits best with the other two Old Testament names you already have (especially as your boy choices are all OT too).
