Can't decide, which do you prefer?

They are SO popular. Are there no others you like?

anothernumberone · 27/09/2015 08:07

Both great names. Jack nudges it for me.

BikeRunSki · 27/09/2015 08:09

Jack. Probably marginally less common than Noah amongst my Dc's peers and their siblings.

mrsschu · 27/09/2015 09:01

I like both but Jack is more timeless. Noah seems to have become suddenly popular so I assume it will wane again in the next few years. Yes they're both popular but that may not bother you! DD has a top 20 name and we know of only one other child around her age with the same name. DS has a less commonly used (although not unusual) name, top 500 probably - we love both names, they suit our children perfectly!

Noah

helentheheron · 27/09/2015 10:01

Jack, or even better Jonathan or John with nn Jack.

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 27/09/2015 10:07

Jack

SmugairleRoin · 27/09/2015 12:11

Jack

NotTodaySatan · 27/09/2015 12:15

Jack.

Noah is a very 'now' name and imo will date badly. There are hundreds of them around here.

Lots of Jacks too of course but it's a more classic name.

MamaLazarou · 27/09/2015 12:20

Both so boring!

patienceisvirtuous · 27/09/2015 12:25

What about Jackson?

MitzyLeFroof · 27/09/2015 12:34

Jack

TheBobbinIsWound · 27/09/2015 12:46

They're both very very popular at the moment when this child is at school he'll probably have 2 friends with his name. Personally I prefer Noah.

dementedma · 27/09/2015 15:44

Millions of them. V popular. If that's not an issue, prefer Jack.
Actually prefer James Grin

00100001 · 27/09/2015 15:45

Jack.

Its irrelevant his popular itbis or not.

Name your child the name you like.

DramaAlpaca · 27/09/2015 19:34

Jack.

Can't stand Noah.

Lunastarfish · 27/09/2015 21:02

Jack

Onedirectionarestillloved · 27/09/2015 21:06

Jack for me too.

MrsJoyless · 27/09/2015 21:13

Am I allowed a teeny giggle at the thought that Jack is more timeless than Noah?

BikeRunSki · 27/09/2015 21:16

Well I know a Jack who is 93, one who is 40, one who is 39 and 2 who are 6. I know 5 boys named Noah and they are all 2 or 3.

mrstweefromtweesville · 27/09/2015 21:19

Noah is a girl's name. It is a girl's name. Which makes me wonder if the story of the ark is more radical that we thought.

Twooter · 27/09/2015 21:22

Jack

BikeRunSki · 27/09/2015 21:23

I thought Noa was a girl's name, and Noah was a boy's name?

Bakeoffcake · 27/09/2015 21:24

I love Jack BUT you do realise that it it very, very common?

Did is 21, she knows 6 Jacks from school and met another 4 at uni. We have to have nicknames for them all to distinguish them. We have House-Jack,
Jack-Jack, Esther's-Jack, Cousin-Jack etc etc.

So based on that I'd go for Noah.Smile

Bakeoffcake · 27/09/2015 21:25

DD is 21, that should say.
