Chloe Ann flows better but Anna IMO is perhaps a nicer name than Chloe.

Bert2e · 15/09/2015 19:16

Anna is wonderful and very underused - unless Frozen has sparked a frenzy. I'm not keen on Chloe at all - far too popular.

NadiaWadia · 15/09/2015 19:23

Why Chloe Ann and not Chloe Anna?

I would choose Anna Chloe as Anna is one of my favourite names ever. I do like Chloe too, though, very pretty. A lovely combination.

I actually think Anna Chloe flows better too. Because with Chloe Ann, as the first name ends with a vowel and so does the beginning of the next name you have to be careful they don't run into one another as you say them - like Chloeyann.

Anna Chloe

SmugairleRoin · 15/09/2015 19:40

Chloe Ann flows better. But unless you're planning on using both names all the time I don't think it matters too much and so I'd choose my fave as a first name - which is Ann.

Iliveinalighthousewiththeghost · 15/09/2015 20:05

Chloe Ann. Anna Chloe doesn't even flow, plus there are not many little Chloes about now

Iliveinalighthousewiththeghost · 15/09/2015 20:06

Chloe Anna is nice as well

mrsschu · 15/09/2015 20:14

Anna is much nicer than Chloe, also more timeless. The "flow" is not especially important IMO as people rarely, if ever, use their Middle names.

Sophronia · 15/09/2015 20:29

Definitely Anna Chloe.

NadiaWadia · 15/09/2015 20:47

Anna Chloe does flow - why wouldn't it?

On the other hand Chloe Ann will end up sounding like Chloe Yann. Just like Anna Emily will end up Anna Remily.

Anna Chloe

donyourway · 15/09/2015 21:22

Chloe Ann sounds lovely Smile

daisydalrymple · 15/09/2015 21:23

Anna Chloe.

As an aside, as a child of the 70s, with a very popular of it's time Middle name, you did of course mean AnnE, not Ann didn't you Wink

Giraffe5 · 15/09/2015 21:28

No I meant Ann, not Anne

Chloe Ann

squoosh · 16/09/2015 13:27

It pains me to see the name Anne being desecrated by having the E lobbed off.

EmmaWoodlouse · 16/09/2015 14:05

I prefer Anne with an E too, but I think I slightly prefer Anna Chloe overall.

SmugairleRoin · 16/09/2015 17:09

I'm with you on that squoosh!

Giraffe5 · 16/09/2015 18:07

Ann was my late mothers name. I'm quite offended by your comment squoosh! It's not a misspelling, it's an alternative way of spelling Ann

OP posts:
squoosh · 16/09/2015 18:09

Sorry Giraffe.

Giraffe5 · 16/09/2015 18:10

Desecrated because I've chosen an alternative spelling!

OP posts:
squoosh · 16/09/2015 18:11

But why isn't Ann on the list of possible first names?

Giraffe5 · 16/09/2015 18:23

Because it is my daughters middle name and I prefer Anna as a possible first name to make it slightly different

OP posts:
squoosh · 16/09/2015 18:51

I see. Well anyway didn't mean to offend it's just I read Anne of Green Gables a bazillion times as a child so the 'Anne with an e' message stuck with me ever since!

Giraffe5 · 16/09/2015 19:00

Ok no worries.
