DS2 was born on Tuesday evening, we already have DS1 and DD who have short (4 letter) names which are quite unusual.

The name I like is Xavier (pronounced with a Z) as my dad's family are Portuguese so I'd like a link to that. I think it sounds nice in its full form but also shortened to Zave when he's older.

DH thinks it's too out there and that no one will pronounce it right. Oh and he thinks everyone will think he's an X Man Hmm

What do you think?

IMO that makes you a nasty bully

What, naming my own child, rather than letting someone name him, if we can't agree? Are you sure, because IMO that makes you a complete fucking moron and a twat. Good luck with that.

Ah. I was right.

The child is not just yours. There are two parents with equal say in the name. To force one to agree to a name they don't like is nasty.

Exactly, Soup. It's not just any person plucked off the street, it's the childs father!

In any case, op seems sorted out!

Yes, the OP appears to be a nice, reasonable human being who has come to a joint decision :)

Awww thanks Soupdragon, that's my second compliment from a stranger in as many days, we've just spent 2 days in hospital for DS to have phototherapy for Jaundice and in his notes it says "mum caring well for baby" Smile
