Pregnant with dc3. Have 2 ds one with a very uncommon classic and underused name and the other with a fairly popular name (not sure why I told you that. Probably very irrelevant!)

Anyway. I have a short(ish) list and would like to gauge opinion. be as scathing as you like I can handle itWink. Any name suggestions are much appreciated.

Boys
Brodie
Adair
Rex
Kit
Bruce
Gus
Jude

Girls
Anna
Indigo
Estelle
Elizabeth

As you can see I don't have a type a such and feel all over the place!

Jude then Kit then Brodie for me

Girls: love indigo :-)

zippyswife · 09/09/2015 21:40

I love indigo. Its by far my favourite but I just don't know if it sounds too pretentious.

I like Kit from your boys list, not keen on the others, sorry. Though I would see Indigo as a boys name personally, and I really like it. For a boy.

I love Estelle. So pretty. Elizabeth and Anna are both great names too. But I would definitely choose Estelle from yur list, lovely lovely name.

Sophronia · 09/09/2015 21:44

I like Adair and Kit, but I do prefer Kit as a nn for Christopher.

Estelle is pretty for a girl.

RiverTam · 09/09/2015 21:47

Bruce and Estelle. I do think Indigo is a bit wanky, sorry!

RosyRedCheeks · 09/09/2015 21:56

I like Kit from the boy list and Anna and Elizabeth from the girls. Although I'd not use either of the girls names but go for something like Bess instead.
How about Ned, Juno, Maxwell, Nell?

Devora · 09/09/2015 21:59

Anna and Jude

Lunastarfish · 09/09/2015 21:59

I actually like all of your boys names(quite rare). I'd go for Kit (Christopher nn kit)

Out of girls I only like Estelle but I love that name. Was on my list for my dd

AMonsterInParis · 09/09/2015 22:04

Your boys list sound like it could be a list of names for a Labrador, but I do love your girls list. Not keen on Indigo, but love, love Estelle.

But then, you would probably think my kids names are boring, so don't listen to me!! [Grin] The fact that we all like different names is what makes it interesting!

RomiiRoo · 09/09/2015 22:08

I like Brodie on the boys list and Estelle on the girl one

Hassled · 09/09/2015 22:11

Brodie or Jude. Rex makes me assume dog.
I love Anna. Don't like Indigo - it's like calling your child Yellow.

ashesandfire · 09/09/2015 22:15

Love Jude and Kit
Love Anna. Like Elizabeth but prefer Eliza or Bethany.

Floggingmolly · 09/09/2015 22:18

Let's hope it's a girl... Anna is the only possible name on your list.

MackerelOfFact · 09/09/2015 22:19

Gus is my favourite of your boys' names, but would personally go with a full name like Augustus and just use Gus.

Of your girls' names I like Elizabeth best - a good, classic name with lots of lovely nicknames (Eliza and Betty being my favourites).

BreeVDKamp · 09/09/2015 22:19

Love Kit and Gus! The only boys names on your list that I don't like are Bruce and Adair (never heard of that one before!).

Girls I like Estelle. Indigo is OK but a bit try-hard. I knew an Indigo with sisters Aubrey and Dolce if they float your boat? Anna and Elizabeth are dull.

Ikeameatballs · 09/09/2015 22:20

Don't like Gus or Bruce.

Indigo makes me think of dingos.

perpetuallybewildered · 09/09/2015 22:21

  1. Brodie and Estelle.

  2. Jude and Anna.

Not so keen on the others. Bruce, Adair & Gus are awful and Rex is a name for a dog. Grin

Colyngbourne · 09/09/2015 22:21

Jude or Brodie

Anna or Estelle.

Marcipex · 09/09/2015 22:28

I like all of them except Jude. Real life boys named Jude get called Judy.

I don't think Indigo sounds feminine though. I suppose it's the o ending.
I still like it though but I think people will guess Indigo is a boy.

mrsschu · 09/09/2015 22:36

The only ones I like are Kit and Anna.

CakeRattleandRoll · 10/09/2015 02:31

I like most of your names - Rex, Adair, Anna, Elizabeth. All good.
I would probably go for Estelle for a girl. For a boy, Kit or Gus, but would use long names (Christopher or Angus/Fergus) on the bc.

ExBallerina · 10/09/2015 02:37

Gus is great. But Jude is my favourite.

I love Estelle and Anna.

KLou1105 · 10/09/2015 04:04

Like Jude and Rex for boys. Not keen on any of the girls. How about Eliza or Rosanna?

lugo40 · 10/09/2015 06:57

Rex
Anna or Eliazabeth

karbonfootprint · 10/09/2015 07:06

Kit is fine, but use it as a nn for Christopher, then ds would have a wide choice of options as an adult, Chris, v.common, Kit much more unusual, Christopher, quite formal, rizzy, very informal etc
