Hi all,

This is our current short list (or long list) please could you let me know thoughts but be nice! Lol

Ace
Blake
Albert
Avery
Fearon
Joel
Aubrey
Colby
Chase

We are really struggling as we like them all but also worried about them for different reasons. Would love to know top 3 please and any suggestions based on what we like so far?

Joel and then Blake, couldn't choose a 3rd, sorry.

I'd actually have Albert pretty low as don't like the old fashioned names that are being revived and it seems a bit out of place with the other choices.

Albert and Blake

How about:
Archer
Beckett
Lennox
Lincoln

Hersetta427 · 11/08/2015 09:00

From your list the only one I would could accepletable is Albert (nn Bertie). All the others are too American sounding and too childish.

Ladypug · 11/08/2015 09:02

Thanks Cape, yes that's where I got the name from, that was my favourite book as a child and I've loved the name for years.

Thanks Venus, yeah Albert is about of a wild card for us - DH likes Bertie and I like Alby but it's so so popular!

Thought Avery was a girls name.

Friend has pony called Chase

Only1scoop · 11/08/2015 09:06

Fearon is a surname.

Albert is ok but not keen on its nick names.

turdfairynomore · 11/08/2015 09:09

I've always loved Chase (& I'd call his twin brother Chance!) .....if I was brave enough-and didn't have a NI accent that "flattens" the vowel. Do it for me OP! It's a great name.

DiscoDiva70 · 11/08/2015 09:18

I like Joel but not keen on the other names tbh.

How about Rudy, Casey, Leon, Franklin, Casper,

dontthinktwiceitsalright · 11/08/2015 09:26

I like Chase and Avery

Glindathegoodwitch · 11/08/2015 09:33

OP - like what you like and be proud of it.

FWIW, my faves out of your list are Blake & Avery. I considered Aubrey in my early stages but for a girl. hadn't considered it for a boy.

Ladypug · 11/08/2015 10:40

Hi only, yeah it sounds like a surname doesn't it? It's my doctors first name!

Hehe thanks Turdfairy!

Thanks disco, not keen on those although I like Casper but don't think it works with our surname!

Thanks Glinda, every time one I love most gets a vote I get excited so it's showing me which names I'm rooting for also!

Yes it's definitely a surname....but hey many are used as surnames these days ....Half of dd old nursery class.

Ladypug · 11/08/2015 11:13

Hehe bizarre!
