Views on Cordelia please (and a few others!)

Ok, following on from my boys name thread I'm now asking you lovely people for some feedback on options for girls names for DC 4. I'm not easily offended so please don't hold back! Alternative suggestions very welcome and sibling names are Arthur, Florence and Cecily....

Shortlist as follows:
Cordelia
Agatha
Primrose
Margot
Sylvia nn sylvie

Primrose makes me think of Fifi and the Flowerpots!

I think having a baby sis with her middle name may make her feel proud, if you pitch it to her as a tribute! I suppose it all depends on the age gap etc, though. And it might make the new baby feel a bit of an afterthought, in a way.

Names are a minefield, aren't they!

I don't think you can use another child's middle name, but Margot is nice. I like Lydia and Rosalind from others mentioned.

Not keen on any. Cordelia is ok. How about Cecelia instead? Love that one.

Batman, the second daughter is called Cecily already? Don't think Cecilia really goes with that.

Cordelia is my favourite (currently my first choice if bump turns out to be DD3!), but because you have a Cecily I would opt for Margot. Mainly because they will all have different initials, which I think is important for a sense of identity in siblings in bigger families - but that is just me. I think Cordelia goes very well if you choose it.

I love your current children's names! Of the new list.. Margot and Agatha are on the short list for our #2 due soon, we will prob go with Margot so that gets my top vote. I'm not sure what you would shorten Cordelia to mind you? Delia isn't as perfect. Love your whole short list though!

Cordelia is pretty, but perhaps as a middle name? Margot Cordelia is very pretty, traditional and feminine :)

I love Primrose but DH didn't. And we had a boy.....

Cordelia is a lovely name but I find it had to think.of a baby/little girl Cordelia. Its an adults name if that makes sense.

I'd just like to thank you all for taking the time to offer your views and for the compliments on our children's names. I think we like Margot Cordelia best though I suppose that is always subject to change! The wait is on to see if we get pink or blue now! Thanks again x
