Primrose is beautiful, by far the nicest. I also like Sylvia.
Don't like the others at all.

LavenderLeigh · 01/08/2015 23:24

I like them all except Agatha.

marinacortina · 01/08/2015 23:39

I love Margot, very chic and cool!

Of the others, I don't dislike Sylvia and Cordelia, but not that keen.
Agatha or Primrose are hideous, sorry.

crapfatbanana · 01/08/2015 23:44

I don't have strong feelings either way about any of the names, other than I don't think they go with your other kids' names.

Ursula?
Aurelia?
Rosalind?

CordeliaFoxx · 02/08/2015 00:05

I like Cordelia! Cordelia Foxx is a character from American Horror Story (Coven), but I used to work with a Cordelia too.

Elfina · 02/08/2015 00:12

Woman after my own heart! DD is Tabitha.

I love:

Cordelia
Genevieve
Primrose
Marigold

CakeRattleandRoll · 02/08/2015 00:15

My favourites are Sylvia and Margot.

CordeliaFoxx · 02/08/2015 00:16

Lydia is nice too

Elfina · 02/08/2015 00:20

And Gwendoline and Amaryliss Smile

Dontloookbackinanger · 02/08/2015 00:29

I like Cordelia, it always makes me think (in a good way) of Anne of Green Gables.

FastWindow · 02/08/2015 00:34

Cordelia. Just perfect.

sleeponeday · 02/08/2015 00:42

I really loathe Cordelia, to be honest. It somehow always reminds me of Uriah, and thence Heep. Possibly because the meaning/sound is so close to cordial, which reminds me of oleaginous business speak! (Or a tautly managed post-divorce brand of courtesy, perhaps - "it was perfectly cordial, but...".) And Cordy is such a horrible nickname, too.

I love Sylvia and Margot, and both match the sibling names nicely. Primrose is lovely, but I suspect the Hunger Games connection may bump it up in popularity.

Rosamund goes well with the ones you have, perhaps? Also traditional, but not overly commonplace, and very English sounding.

Sophronia · 02/08/2015 00:51

I like Cordelia, Margot and Sylvia.

Ipushedmygrannyaffabus · 02/08/2015 01:18

The only Cordelia I know is a junkie. And horrible.
Primrose and agatha are two of the worst names out there. 'Prim' and 'aggie' aren't any better.

Margot is gorgeous and sylvie is lovely :)

UrethraFranklin1 · 02/08/2015 01:21

Goneril or Regan?

Kikimoon · 02/08/2015 08:52

I think Margot is the best with your other dc names. Love Cordelia but wouldn't have with Cecily because of the first initial. Sylvia and Cecily seem very similar to me.

Agatha and Primrose are opposites - one so ugly and one so twee!

sweetpeame · 02/08/2015 08:55

Cordelia sounds pretentious (which you may not mind). I'm not a fan, it sounds too try hard. I also hate the nn Cordy, reminds me of umbilicol cord. Not too keen on the rest of your names, Margot is the best. Primrose sounds a little ridiculous IMO. I know established flower names are popular but it sounds strange when people start plucking (excuse the pun!) random ones out of thin air.

Porkpienessie · 02/08/2015 09:29

Thanks for the helpful feedback. I quite like the Rosamund and Genevieve suggestions so will pitch these to DH. I think I like Margot the best at the moment but it is also our third child Cecily's middle name..do you think that would matter at all?

BeaufortBelle · 02/08/2015 09:33

Margot always reminds me of The Good Life Grin.

Rosamund is fabulous and goes very well with your other names.

WidowWadman · 02/08/2015 09:40

My Cordelia is mostly called Dilly. Unless we're in Waitrose, of course.

woody17 · 02/08/2015 09:46

I love Cordelia - the name always makes me think of Cordelia in King Lear who was very principled and truly loved her father.

marinacortina · 02/08/2015 11:16

Primrose instantly makes me think of Harold Shipman, but that connection will fade out in time.

ShortyShortLegs · 02/08/2015 11:29

My Cordelia hates Cords/Cordy/Delia so we call her Cordelia all the time except for my mum who calls her DeeDee for short.
I find that the name is unusual but not enough to be considered weird...my name is extremely unusual and I always get comments. We always get compliments on what a lovely name, but no one has ever said it is posh...maybe because if very boring common and short surname!
Only thing I would worry about is that you would have two children with the same initial which might get a bit confusing with labelling, etc.

girliefriend · 02/08/2015 14:24

I know one Genevieve who is always known as Jenny.

I like Margot but it makes me think of Despicable me!!

Doublebubblebubble · 02/08/2015 14:48

As a fan of king lear - I like it - my DD has a Shakespearian name.. Having said that it also reminds me of the mean girl from buffy the vampire slayer x I think it goes with your other dc's names well too x if you like it gi for it xx good luck xx
