Thinking of a girls name is exceptionally hard for me!!! This is my latest thought but dh not convinced- does it just make you think of princesses genie? I like that it's quite strong and could be ahortened to Ginny. Honest opinions welcome!! Thank you!!

DurhamDurham · 24/07/2015 13:45

I typed on this thread thinking it was going to be a sensible enlightening discussion on the subject of Eugenics but no.....it's actually made me laugh for the first time today. Thank you op Grin

I really can't believe anyone could be so idiotic as to assume the OP meant eugenic.

Not all that keen on Eugenie.

Benchmark · 24/07/2015 13:48

I actually really like Eugenie. I used to know a girl called Genie, I assume it was short for this. A very cool nickname!

BreeVDKamp · 24/07/2015 13:49

For gods sake, it's pretty obvious that was an autocorrect fail Confused

Yarp · 24/07/2015 13:51

so let's start making more suggestions and stop banging on about it

cruikshank · 24/07/2015 13:52

This is officially my favourite baby name thread. Good work, OP!

GetTheFudgeOutOfRodge · 24/07/2015 13:52

I don't think OP would be able to use Eugenie now without thinking of this thread Grin

Cynara · 24/07/2015 13:52

If you like the slightly French names, like Yarp has suggested, how about Ghislaine? I love it, but I had a boy. I'm still working on DP to talk him round if the next is a girl!

Yarp · 24/07/2015 13:53

Ooh yes, Ghislaine is lovely

So many nice French Girls names.

I have two boys, so I do like a good Girls name thread

Cynara · 24/07/2015 14:00

Yes, me too Yarp. It allows me to indulge my baby girl daydream without the actual hard work of babycare that goes with it!

DayLillie · 24/07/2015 14:14

We had a French girl at school called Giselle which is nice.

I think Eugenie was a nice name, but would have benefitted from a more positive royal connection. Who knows, she has a way to go yet........

Eugenics would be nice with Chlamydia and Candida. Or maybe Parsimony.

reuset · 24/07/2015 14:19

I prefer Eugenia, though Eugénie is ok

MissBattleaxe · 24/07/2015 14:22

I love the name Juliet and you never hear it these days. It's so beautiful.
