Weird, I rarely look in this bit as 99% of the names make me wince and everyone else seems to wax lyrical over them.

Hobie for a boy? Good idea for boys, and girls, keeps them out of mischief during the school holidays. The other pronunciation sounds like a pet name for hobo.

I met a hobie in America and he is now deceased but he was the most amazing man and for that I love this name as has great memories for me.
