Had Mack and Cory on our list for DS2 and DP suggested this today...

I quite like it, what do people think?

StrumpersPlunkett · 22/06/2015 23:07

Makes me think of Cardinal Cormac Murphy O'Connor.

DramaAlpaca · 22/06/2015 23:07

I love it.

Allstoppedup · 22/06/2015 23:33

Had to Google strumpers Blush

A previous Google had only linked the name to an Irish king and the novelist Cormac Macarthy.

I'm going to mull it over for a while I think! I still have 15 weeks to go but this is the first name DP and I have both liked on so far!Grin

It reminds me of caramac and makes me hungry.

Fern123 · 22/06/2015 23:39

I'm just lying in bed watching my lovely snuffly newborn, named Cormac, sleeping in his crib so I love the name!

Nospringflower · 22/06/2015 23:41

Lovely name. Wish I had thought of it for one of my DS!

Allstoppedup · 22/06/2015 23:43

Ooh! Congratulations Fern Smile

I love my big, brutish, crazy (but cuddly) toddler to pieces but I am looking forward to having a snuffly little one again!Grin

As an aside mmmm, Caramacs...

JellyMould · 22/06/2015 23:49

Love it!

MumSnotBU · 22/06/2015 23:51

I thought the same as Strumpers...

Sophronia · 22/06/2015 23:59

It makes me think of Korma and Tarmac

RabidFairy · 23/06/2015 00:02

My DS is called Cormac. Suits him well!

Congrats Fern. Great name choice Grin

NomiMalone · 23/06/2015 00:04

Love it. A great solid Irish name.

Congrats on your squishy baby Fern Thanks Thanks I'm looking at my frankly huge 10 month old DS asleep beside me and remembering when he was tong.

UniS · 23/06/2015 00:13

Don't if you live in or visit Cornwall.

MitzyLeFrouf · 23/06/2015 01:06

Love it. But only if it's pronounced the Irish way, core-mc rather than the Scottish core-MACK.

Homebird8 · 23/06/2015 01:25

I had the loveliest chap on my uni course called Cormac so it has great associations for me.

PunkAssMoFo · 23/06/2015 05:06

Lovely name.

It would be on my list of I had even vague Gaelic connections.

CakeRattleandRoll · 23/06/2015 05:52

Really like it. Much better than Mack, although I like Corey too.

BubGal13 · 23/06/2015 09:21

I love it. Strong, different, quirky. Knew one- gorgeous Cormac at school and then also like its associations with the novelist too.

Belazu84 · 23/06/2015 14:14

LOVE!

GeorgeYeatsAutomaticWriter · 23/06/2015 14:15

Lovely. But only if it's Cor-muck (proper pronunciation) rather than Cor-mack.

BlueKarou · 23/06/2015 14:17

I know a 3 year old Cormac. He's lovely!

DarylDixonsDarlin · 23/06/2015 14:19

Yes agree with UniS above, don't if you are in or near Cornwall - its the name of our road maintenance department, they're not thought of fondly in these parts Grin. But I'm guessing if you're in Cornwall you probably wouldn't be asking cos you'd already know that!

I must confess, I didn't know until I read this, that it was an actual boy's name! Smile

bluewisteria · 23/06/2015 16:38

Love it. I would consider it for DC3 but one of our daughters has an Irish name, the other an Italian, so can't really use it, it would make the Italian name seem out on a limb!
Cornelius is also on our list.
