I'm not really a fan of the name but I like the nickname 'Mossy'.

Is it sort of in the same era as Trevor, Derek and Brian etc?

SantanaLopez · 12/06/2015 21:17

Dunno.... kinda insipid.

If he's the younger son at boarding school he can be Morris Minor.

MumSnotBU · 12/06/2015 21:29

Or when he's at a disco he can be Morris dancing...Grin

I was thinking if he was the younger he'd be Morris minor too. If he travelled with work or on a gap year Morris Traveller! Off to Oxford? Morris -, I think you get the gist.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 12/06/2015 23:02

Maurice could definitely grow on me.

Cherriesandapples · 12/06/2015 23:05

I love Morris/Maurice but I had a lovely neighbour called that when I was little. He was lovely. Also my grandad was called Maurice.

Nay, not good.

florascotia · 13/06/2015 09:45

FWIW I believe actor Michael Caine was originally named Maurice. (The name is not my favourite, but prefer Maurice to Morris, which is usually a surname.)

Polarbearcub · 13/06/2015 14:31

Thanks everyone for your opinions! Really on the fence- dh is keen for family reasons (variation of Maurice) but I'm really not sure ...
