Hello everyone I've only six weeks to go and we really need to find a girls name. If you could help and give suggestions of others you like similar to this it would be great. Our names are:
Genevieve
Tessa
Sasha
Thanks for helping.

I like Genevieve best of those three. Have you considered something longer to give the others, eg Alexandra for Sasha?

Everyone will mispronounce Genevieve.

Marianne and Natasha are beautiful.

MitzyLeFrouf · 08/06/2015 16:23

I love Sasha.

BlueChampagne · 08/06/2015 16:23

I like Genevieve best too, and I'm sure some people will be able to pronounce it, especially those familiar with the film.

Blue champagne - Francesca is a lovely name but a friend has just named her baby that.

I've never heard anyone have a problem with pronouncing Genevieve! I know two and they are both Vivi for short, which is lovely.

Tessa also lovely too, how about Theresa for the full name?

Sasha I'd avoid, it's a boy's name which seemed to have a spurt of popularity as a girl's name in the 70s-80s. Nice, but says boy to me!

Zzzsnatcher · 08/06/2015 17:29

Sasha's great!

FatSwan · 08/06/2015 17:42

I love Tessa Genevieve!

fionadal · 08/06/2015 19:12

Both Tessa and Genevieve are lovely. Don't think you'd go wrong with either.

However, most 3-syllable names seem to get shortened in the playground, so you may have to accept that Genevieve would not always be called by her full name and think of a shortening you like.

sweetpeame · 08/06/2015 19:16

Genevieve or Tessa, not crazy about Sasha and it definitely sounds more like a nn than a full name. Also in many countries Sasha is a mans name so that slightly puts me off it also.

mrstweefromtweesville · 08/06/2015 19:17

Genevieve, nice-ish.

How about Tabitha, or Alicia, as you like the 'a' sounds?

sunshinemummy2012 · 08/06/2015 19:34

I think you are all possibly right with Sacha - it was on our boys list and but removed as we feared too girly. Either way I think it takes one out of the equation.

DampAndRotten · 08/06/2015 21:57

Tessa Genevieve would be my pick.

Do you like Gennie? Of not then I wouldn't use Genevieve as a first name (personally I think Gennie/Jenny is great)

CakeRattleandRoll · 09/06/2015 09:28

Love Genevieve, nn Genny.

Josephine nn Josie
Saskia
Cassia (pronounced KA-sha)
Vanessa

timelyreminder · 09/06/2015 10:09

Tessa is quite nice but I'd want to use a longer version too and am not keen on Theresa. Genevieve with Eve or Evie for short is nice. Not keen on Sasha.
