What's wrong with Adam?

I think we've decided on Adam. Just one last sense check please.... What's wrong with it? Hit me with your worst... I can't see any connotations/nicknames/random reasons that are too bad but maybe not thinking hard enough!
Thank you Grin

Nothing - it's a lovely name!

CrystalMcPistol · 03/06/2015 02:09

It's fine.

tiggyhop · 03/06/2015 02:22

love it.

carbolicsoaprocked · 03/06/2015 05:45

It's a great name, only thing is it's so lovely it's really popular where I live (North of Scotland), my DN is 15 and there are loads in his year. Seems to be less popular for younger kids though.

AwfulBeryl · 03/06/2015 06:11

It's lovely.

ISpidersmanYouMeanPirate · 03/06/2015 06:36

I really like it. Only problem I had with it is i don't like how the French pronounce it. Relevant to me but probably not to you!

tumbletumble · 03/06/2015 06:40

I love Adam

IsItStupid · 03/06/2015 06:54

Absolutely fine, never thought there was anything wrong with it.

Unless you have a daughter called Eve, it's a lovely name and should be fine.

MadameJosephine · 03/06/2015 06:56

It's lovely and I only know one who is a teenager so not that popular round here (north east)

Sausages123 · 03/06/2015 07:31

My boy was nearly Adam I really love it.

MehsMum · 03/06/2015 07:32

Fab name, go for it. I know one who is about 6 or 7 now.

ihearttea · 03/06/2015 07:33

Nothing at all, I love it.

angeltreats · 03/06/2015 07:41

There's an Adam in our NCT group, a lovely smiley boy and he really suits his name. I think it's fab.

EmpressOfJurisfiction · 03/06/2015 07:43

Nothing wrong at all.

lottiegarbanzo · 03/06/2015 07:45

Nice name. There are a lot of Eves about these days, he could end up attached to one - but that would be just a little bit funny really.

MadeinSouthWest · 03/06/2015 07:50

I have an Adam. I don't recall getting many comments when we named him so I assumed that people either didn't like or felt neutral about the name choice. We are happy with it and he likes his name. He gets called Ad, Ada, Adamy but mostly just Adam.

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 03/06/2015 07:55

Adam's lovely.

TiggyD · 03/06/2015 08:01

OH DEAR GOD, NOT ADAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

TiggyD · 03/06/2015 08:02

Actually, nothing wrong with Adam. It's a non-made up name. Fine.

youmakemydreams · 03/06/2015 08:04

I love Adam (biased) I've had compliments on it mainly from older people. I think because it's a classic non made up name.

firstcomeslove · 03/06/2015 08:20

It's a perfectly ok name. Just a bit dull.

Iliveinalighthousewiththeghost · 03/06/2015 08:29

Nothing. Why who said there were. It's not a name I'd choose personally but it is a nice name

insanityscatching · 03/06/2015 08:39

My first born is Adam, he's late twenties now. It's not hugely popular around here in fact I know only two others one in twenties and one a tween. I'd say it's a name that ages well so at no point from him being a baby to a man did it seem clunky. Go for it.

Alisvolatpropiis · 03/06/2015 08:41

Nothing, it's a good name.

It would be one I'd consider for a boy in future were it not the name of my first boyfriend who is still a long time friend. He'd never shut up about me naming my son after him Grin

CPtart · 03/06/2015 09:01

DS1 is Adam. It's still my all time favourite boys name twelve years on. Timeless, classless and not readily shortened.
