Dc2 is due in October. We have our 20 week scan in 2 weeks and are hoping to find out sex.

For a DD I quote like Jennifer but is it too 1980's? What other names might I like that I may not of thought of.

Just for info DS is William.

I really like Jennifer and Jen/Jenny. Haven't met one under 30 in forever.

Natasha
Laura
Zoe
Alison
Julia

They have a similar vibe in my mind.

Thabk you for you reply.

I Love Zoe! Hadn't even considered it but I really like it.

I'm just under 30 and I know loads of Jens /jennys my age but no little ones. Probably why I associate it with the 80's.

As a child of the 80s I went to school with a LOT of Jennifers. Sadly, the majority were not nice so that clouds my judgement. That said, she'd probably be the only Jennifer in her class now.

Laquila · 04/05/2015 22:16

I know two under 30; a very sweet, quite tomboyish 2-yr old and a gorgeous, refreshingly natural 17-yr old cousin. I like it!

chickenpoxpanic · 04/05/2015 22:18

I know a lot of Jennifers in their 30s but none younger.

StrumpersPlunkett · 04/05/2015 22:19

Grin think it is a good name

ElectricalBanana · 04/05/2015 22:20

I know an five year old Jennifer and she is beautiful!

twirlypoo · 04/05/2015 22:27

I really like it, but like Luna, I went to school with lots of bitchy queen bee ones. That said, my initial reaction was that It was pretty!

squoosh · 04/05/2015 22:44

I always think Jennifer is the name of a kind girl.

TongueBiter · 04/05/2015 22:47

I know a 13 yo Jennifer and a 70 yo Jenifer Smile it's gone weird now - I've looked at it too many times on this thread Confused

OneMagnumisneverenough · 04/05/2015 22:47

I know a 16 year old one and one in her early 30s. Both use Jenni but OHs favourite for a girl was Jenna which would not work with our surname which is the same as hypnotist Paul - he hadn't noticed until I was laughing :o

jazzyjenbo · 04/05/2015 22:54

I maybe a little bias towards this name but I have always loved my name and get called jennifer, jenny and jen.

It was the number 1 name the year i was born and i went to school with 5 in my year.

I know a 3yr and 5 yr old with this name and judging by some other recent threads I think it is making a comeback!

Others of the same era but not popular
Heather
Hayley
Nicola
Nicole
Jenna
Helen
Claire

KaputKiss · 04/05/2015 22:57

I know a 10 yr old Jennifer / jenni and think it's a lovely name. My 3yo dd has Jennifer as her middle name.

Sophronia · 04/05/2015 23:02

I really like Jennifer / Jenny/Jennie and would like to see it make a comeback.

Penguinotterfoxbadger · 04/05/2015 23:05

I think it's lovely (and all the Jennifer /Jennys I know are lovely too)

OneMagnumisneverenough · 04/05/2015 23:08

Also quite like Janie or Sally

Hazel
Lorna
Shona

ShadowFire · 04/05/2015 23:08

SausageBaconCrackling · 04/05/2015 23:16

I know 2 Jennifer's under 30- one teeny baby and an 8yo in DS1's class. Lovely, classic name.

Koalafications · 04/05/2015 23:17

I think Jennifer is a lovely name.

I also like Jessica.

AtomicDog · 04/05/2015 23:20

"...We can't go wrong, let's put it in writing.
Jennifer, we can't go wrong, let's do it right now.
And now it's written there in blue,
With a heart and an arrow through.
Her name on you, Her name on you,
Her name on you, Jennifer in blue..."

TinklyLittleLaugh · 04/05/2015 23:23

I love Jenny, but would go with Imogen as the full name.

OneMagnumisneverenough · 04/05/2015 23:24

...or "Jennifer, Alison, Phillipa, Sue, Deborah, Annabel, too" :o

AtomicDog · 04/05/2015 23:27

And of course "Jenny was a friend of mine..."
