Daisy or Poppy?

After much deliberation we have narrowed it down to two girls names. I prefer Daisy and Dp prefers Poppy. What do you think? Are there any horrible connotations that I haven't thought about?

I prefer Daisy.

Though Pops is a cute nickname!

Stealthpolarbear · 23/04/2015 17:55

both nice
poppy is the name of Jamie Oliver's daughter I think. don't know if that makes it more or less desirable

Poppy. Grin

LeonoraFlorence · 23/04/2015 18:07

What about a more serious name and either of the cutesy flower names as a nickname or middle name?

NobleLocks · 23/04/2015 18:21

I have a poppy Thanks

hawkmcqueen · 23/04/2015 18:21

Poppy

Stealthpolarbear · 23/04/2015 18:22

Totality22 · 23/04/2015 18:25

Poppy for me.

IvoryMadonna · 23/04/2015 18:26

They are both names for little girls. By all means use them as pet names, but please give your daughter a proper grown-up name.

Daffodilliesanddaisies · 23/04/2015 18:26

Thanks Stealth.

What would you suggest Villainous?

It's a good job I know of 2 Poppy's tht are in their 30s that are taken seriously in the city isn't it

Turquoiseflamingos · 23/04/2015 18:30

Goodness, how strange that I am a cutesy little girl Wink

feels pleased

Honestly, why are people so silly? A name is a name. They really don't have sell by dates!

captainproton · 23/04/2015 18:35

I think poppy and daisy are both names that a lot of people associate with being a bit pink Barbie. Sorry.

BallroomWithNoBalls · 23/04/2015 18:38

Both lovely names, Daisy is possibly a little more cutesy than Poppy, though it wouldn't put me off. I know a Daisy in her thirties who works in finance and is not cute Grin

hedgehogsdontbite · 23/04/2015 18:40

I think both are lovely but I prefer Poppy. Sorry OP.

AlwaysOneMissing · 23/04/2015 18:40

Definitely Poppy

Breezy1985 · 23/04/2015 18:44

I prefer Poppy, fwiw my auntie is a 53yo Poppy and has always been taken seriously in her profession...

musicinspring1 · 23/04/2015 18:44

poppy

PotatoesPastaAndBread · 23/04/2015 18:50

Daffodilliesanddaisies · 23/04/2015 19:04
