Sister for Ingrid?

Open to suggestions, we have a handful of boys names, but none for a girl! No particular theme, but we have a Mc surname so preferably shorter syllables.

I like Romilly but DH says no. He likes Lola but it sounds awful with our surname and I just think 'Charlie And' every time he brings it up.

I have a Romilly but we usually call her Romy (Rom-ee). What about Astrid or Greta they would fit well with Ingrid.

The only Ingrid I know (in rl) has a sister named Astrid.
I really like the name Astrid, also Greta and Nina as above.

Nina as suggested is lovely actually in this combination
Eve/a/ie

I think Elva would sound nice with Ingrid

AtomicDog · 09/04/2015 10:32

squoosh perhaps (the ones I know are mid-teens) Smile but I think it's more likely it's a fairly usual combination of names, so there will be others.

AtomicDog · 09/04/2015 10:34

And charlyn any child names Elva at the moment will spend her entire life saying, "No, not Elsa, Elva" poor thing.

I really don't like Astrid. There was an Astrid at my children's school and I once heard the dad calling out to her - "Ass". - Not a nice nickname.

Ds was going to be an Ingrid. His big sister is Audrey - I think Ingrid and Audrey are a lovely combination.
