Sister for Ingrid?

StayGoldPonyBoy · 08/04/2015 23:56

Open to suggestions, we have a handful of boys names, but none for a girl! No particular theme, but we have a Mc surname so preferably shorter syllables.

I like Romilly but DH says no. He likes Lola but it sounds awful with our surname and I just think 'Charlie And' every time he brings it up.

My newborn niece is an Astrid Grin

I also thought Astrid when I read the title.

I have the best one to go with Ingrid. Look no further!

Annika.

Gorgeous.

Almost forgot I started the thread!

Thanks to those who like Ingrid, it was always 'the' name for my DD and it suits herGrin

I can't have an Evie/Eva/Ava because of my niece.

Love Astrid, love Annika- major Pippi Longstocking fan so they'd be good ones!Smile Agree that there's too many 'ids' with Astrid though. She may well be an Annika.

I like Cleo, too, but that's the cats nameGrin

I instantly thought Greta (and I love this name - I'm still a little sad that DH wouldn't agree to it).

But I really like Margot and Esther from those names suggested above as well.

I was going to suggest Anya or Greta but love the previous suggestion of Annika, perfect with Ingrid

I think Annika is fab. Astrid & Ingrid are too matchy.

Change the cat's name, Cleo is great.

I can't change the cats name now Sophy, she's older than DD1!

I really like Thea, but we're from Yorkshire and I can't effectively call my daughter 'Fear' which is actually what DH thought I'd suggested when I said it! Grin

We have decided on AnnikaSmile

Thanks for all the suggestions though! There will definitely be more babies, so a nice selection is helpful Wink

What are your boys names? I am stuck for names for DC3, currently considering Astrid for a girl. Already have Nina & Greta...

Report
StayGoldPonyBoy · 15/04/2015 21:23

Sophy

Kitt, Nathaniel/Nate, Ezra, Luca, Gregory are our favourites.

Luca, Greta and Nina sound really nice imo! All sharing the same sound without being overkill is cool too.

I know an Ingrid with a sister Greta.

I think Anya or Clara would also go well.
