Three weeks to go with three name shortlist. Pick your fave!

Hi all,

Within a month or so we will have a little boy causing havoc. We are down to a three name shortlist, two have been early favourites with one late addition, they are:

Oscar John
Harrison John
Jetson John (late addition)

As you can see, we have already decided on John as his middle name. We would love to hear your opinions.

Jethro nn Jet?

Not great but 100% better than Jetson.

Go with what you love! I have already commented a few days ago saying I love Jet as a nickname too.
As the saying goes, 'we're here to make history, not repeat it!'.
I don't see anything wrong with Jetson and think a lot of people would just be too afraid to use it as it's a bit 'out there'.

ermmm - Oscar John - OJ - your last name isn't Simpson I hope..

Jetson - I would associate with the cartoons, but could soon become the "cooler" JJ

Harrison John - too many ons sorry....

suppose for us, it would be similar to calling him Bart (simpsons) but the association with "The Jetsons" just isn't there for us nor would it be for his generation, being 28 years since it was last aired? Am I clutching at straws?

If anything, it wouldn't be like calling him Bart, it would be like calling him Simpson I really don't like it. How about Jensen/Jenson? That is more commonplace, although I can't say I'm keen on it either.

I don't like Harrison. Oscar sounds much better to my ears.

Jethro John is cool.

Think Jetson will just get called Jet (I am a teacher so I guess I witness how pupils shorten each other's names quickly). If you are happy with that then fine.
I think of Harrison as a surname and again, they'll just become Harry anyway.

Jetson is awful in my opinion- sounds like jettison -to throw away.
Harry or Henry much classier than Harrison

I didn't know Jetson was a name outside of the cartoon. They were like the Flintstones in space weren't they?

I used to love the Jetsons. I do however like Jet as a name. I know I'm odd!
