DH loves it, I am okay with it but not my favourite. But I got my own way (a family name) with dd 1 so am prepared to go with his choice if I don't dislike it. What do others think?

I like it but know 3 under 1 just at a baby group I go to!

HedgehogsDontBite · 26/02/2015 10:37

I like it too.

AngelsWithSilverWings · 26/02/2015 10:40

Beautiful name. I only know one baby Martha.

poppydaisy · 26/02/2015 10:50

It feels like a name that will hugely rise in popularity soon.

Sophronia · 26/02/2015 11:21

I like it a lot.

LollyLondon · 26/02/2015 11:45

Love it and was top of my list for DD (unfortunately it was bottom of DH's list....)

TheNewStatesman · 26/02/2015 12:16

It is very popular right now.

ShesARumUn · 26/02/2015 14:55

Love it

CamilleBordey · 26/02/2015 14:57

Love it. Only know one who is 8 years old.

SunnyBaudelaire · 26/02/2015 14:57

it is nice but Marta is nicer.

caravanista13 · 26/02/2015 14:58

Love it! X

Koalafications · 26/02/2015 19:09

Honestly? I hate it. I think it's a really ugly name.

Now someone will come on and say that their DD is called Martha and I will feel evil Blush

girliefriend · 26/02/2015 19:14

I like it - don't see how you can say it is ugly Confused It sounds really nice when you say it, rolls off the tongue.

sidsgranny · 26/02/2015 19:17

Ok but very popular at the moment. I know of 4 under a year old.

Koalafications · 26/02/2015 19:18

Well, it's just my opinion. I think it is an ugly name, you don't agree

WinterBabyof89 · 26/02/2015 19:21

I'm going against the flow it would seem by saying that Martha isn't my cup of tea, and I still think of it as an older persons name. I'm sure that will change at some point as it is having a resurgence.

I would maybe still suggest names to him in the hope that you find one you both like Smile

Innocuoususername · 26/02/2015 19:26

Love it, reminds me of the Tom Waits song. Classic but not over used (yet) and not granny chic (ugh).

Really like it x

verelab · 26/02/2015 19:59

Love this name. Have only met one under 5 here in South East. Seems relatively unusual amid the Isla,Evies and Annas.

Also love Marta as someone else mentioned above- think that's the Polish version.

JollyFrog · 26/02/2015 20:29

I love it, I know sisters called Martha and Harriet, lovely names

Dogsmom · 26/02/2015 20:44

It's the name I wanted for this baby but dh doesn't like it, I did read a baby names article the other day though and it's predicted to be the next Lily/Amelia/Ava so there's a chance she'll be one of many.

okeydonkey · 26/02/2015 22:33

Love it but v v popular

ScaryChicken · 26/02/2015 23:05

Love it

autumnmoon · 27/02/2015 09:36

I thought Martha was meant to be getting really popular a few years ago.... it's a gem of a name!
