Something like Imogen?

We really like this name, but it's the name of our son's good friend who we see often, so we've ruled it out. What else has a similar feel?

Imogen has a quiet dignity to it hasn't it? Also soft and squashy. Hannah has a quiet dignity, but isn't soft and squashy. Annabel works. Actually, Annabel is lovely. Elodie too. Maybe Julia.

Was going to call DD Alice until close friend used it for her DD. Will now go for Imogen instead as I think it has similar 'feel'.

I agree with Hannah, Alice and Verity having the same sort of feel, although Imogen is in it's own "category" in my mind.

I love it though, it was on our list for DS and the only reason it wasn't for DD is that in the intervening period it was used by very close friends.

Other names we have considered - not exactly like Imogen, but in case you have similar taste are:
Louisa
Helena
Anna
Catherine
Grace

One of the children in my class told me to call my baby 'Princess furry cat'. That name suggestion was for a boy or a girl feel free to take that name. Wink

Oh you ladies are good.... You've given many of the other names we really like but can't use due to family and friends getting there first! Like Hannah, Isobel, Elodie, Eloise, Isla..... We should have had this baby earlier!
