Clara or Mabel?

Love both these names. which name do you prefer to go with siblings Charlie and Tilly?

Clara Margaret or Mabel Pearl.

Both lovely. I'm not keen on Pearl as a middle name so I'd probably go for Clara Margaret, but with a different middle name, I'd choose Mabel. As pp said, it's less well used than Clara.

I love both, my favourite is Mabel. My great aunt was called Maybelle, quite racy for those days I think.

Clara is beautiful. Mabel I would put in a list of old lady names that shouldn't have been revived, with Doris, Mavis and Hilda.

I'd also rethink the middle names for both. Clara Margaret and Mabel Pearl have similar sounds to the middles. Not really important at all but thought I'd mention.

Clara is very classic and elegant. Mabel sounds like a maid in a mob cap's name.

Mabel & Elsie are my top girls name. I now have an Elsie and if this bump is a girl bump she'll be a Mabel.

Mabel is on a par with Beryl. That's not a good par to be on.
