They are three of my favourite names girls names atm. :)

An adult Elizabeth. She's ace. Strong, independent, kind, compassionate. Can be clumsy with her words some times. She's an engineer in S. America doing water projects.

Know a newborn Elizabeth and my friends mum is Annabel, she's lovely.

I know an Annabelle who is well educated, lives in a tasteful West London flat and is a top notch cook and very easy to talk to.

My best friend is an Elizabeth and is a very well regarded teacher. She's very musical having sung in a well known but niche band and is an incredible artist, very well travelled and also a very keen astronomer.

So I rather like both names, both creative, intelligent and friendly :-)

My big sis is Elizabeth. Nothing to do with her name but she is, well, a big sister. Perfectionist, slightly PA, knows exactly what she wants and gets it. Excellent sense of style. Bossy.

I know lots of Elizabeths, it was very popular in the 70s! Off the top of my head I can think of 12 friends/acquaintances with the name. They come in all shapes and sizes :o

Only 2 Annabel(le)s - both fairly feminine, strong characters. One known as Belle.

Don't know any Arabellas though.

I'm an elizabeth, I hate it and always have. I've met very few others weirdly, maybe 2 or 3 throughout my life. Haven't ever met anyone named arabella or annabel but I love annabel, I'd go for that one.

Know an Arabella, she's very confident, rich both children now off at boarding school

I know a high-achieving doctor and guider Liz/Elizabeth. She's as outdoorsy as any guider but also quite feminine. Very balanced actually. Extremely organised and capable.

I know an Annabella whom is well educated, smart and has great tongue in cheek!

I know all three. Arabella is a posh name, I agree. Annabel is a little posh; not really a proper grown-up's name to my ears, but can be shortened to Anna which is great. Elizabeth is almost connotation-free, I think, and can be shortened in lots of ways. So it's my favourite.

Load of elizabeths. Intelligent capable successful,posh, all called Liz.

One Annabel. A bit of an insecure flake, posh.

I know two Elizabeths and they are both doctors (one hospital, one a GP), actually very different to each other but both strong, intelligent lovely people!

I know an Annabel she's mine.

She's sweet, feminine, sharp, sarcastic, innocent, loving, focused and determined. She spends half the time with butterflies in her brain and the other half shrewdly weighing everything up. She's 6.

Not the first two but I know lots if Elizabeth's. All the ones who get called by their first name are lovely and kind but very straight laced . The 2 I know called Lizzie are quite hippyish and smiley.

Adult Elizabeths I know have both been quite sporty and down-to-earth and been known as 'Liz'. Only adult Arabella I know is me, and that's only as a middle name - I'm neither girly or posh and tbh I hate it (sorry!) My actual first name (which is also multi-syllabled and feminine) is shortened to a boys name and that suits me far better!

I know loads of Lizzes, all early 40s. All intelligent, professional, decent, sensible but also fun types. The kind of people you would make friends with. I have one dear old friend called Annabel who isn't posh really but quite likes it if people think she is. She's very clever, arty, domesticated, but lacking in confidence in some ways but very sharp in others. I am not posh enough to know anyone called Arabella. But I don't think a name is a self-fulfilling prophecy - your Elizabeth or Annabel or Arabella will be herself no matter what you call her, so I should just choose the name you like best!
