Thank you! DH likes it but I'm not sure. It sounds a bit outdated in my opinion.

Not agreed on first names yet so haven't even thought about middle names! My front runners are Orla and Lucy but DH not keen on either.

I like the name Orla, would sound lovely when she's grown up too. Sally sounds a bit old and reminds me of 'Sally Webster' and Lucy is nice for a little girl but not for a grown up.

I absolutely adore this name but DH doesn't. It's my great aunt's name and younger sister's middle name.

I really like it - its on my list for DD3 - but I appear to be in the minority! Most people seem to think it's old- fashioned. I can't see it myself :)

It's not really what I would personally pick but do quite like it actually. It's quite cute and I like that it's a bit quirky but not unheard of at all - however I do prefer Lucy which is just lovely! Orla also very pretty.

Other possible ideas along the lines of Sally...

Love Sally. A decent underused name, suits all ages. DC2 would have been Sally had he been a girl.

I love it. It's one of those names I think of as 'vintage' rather than 'old fashioned'. The kind of name you see in children's books from the 1940s and 50s. It's also not overused, and very feminine.

Orla and Lucy are pretty names, but Sally is awful.

Now, Orla would be considered quite a dated old fashioned name here in Ireland.

Don't like it. Very "wet" name IMO.

Lucy is nice.

Reminds me of Wurzel Gummidge's Aunt Sally or women in their 50's unfortunately.....

I like it. The Sally I know is very pretty and intelligent.

I used to think it was a bit outdated but my daughter has a doll called Sally and I've grown to love it! I've also only met lovely kind Sallies. And I love the oasis song, "Don't look back in anger"

I'm a fan. Probably because I know a lovely Sally! But that aside, it's still lovely. It's along the lines of Poppy, Molly, Pippa, in my head. All of which are nice, but popular, Sally is more uncommon.

I don't think Orla is dated or old fashioned in Ireland at all. I know quite a few little ones and a lot of teenagers called Orla.
