welsh baby girl name in England

My husband is Welsh but we currently live in England. We would, however, like to choose a Welsh name for our little girl that goes with our surname, Howells. We are looking for a name that is easy to recognise and pronounce outside of Wales. Any suggestions welcome. Thank you!

Sorry, that should be Rhian, not Rhidan!

I agree with Sunny. Angharad sounds lovely in the right accent but is ruined when spoken by me with the wrong accent.

Modern Welsh spelling = Angharad

Medieval English version = Anchoret

Seren is beautiful

Seren is lovely, but I have at least 4 friends with a daughter with that name. Same for Nia, Cerys and Carys
